I think the reason Mills looked like he did nowt was because the likes of Hill, Meekin and Bibey were absolutely immense. Was a pretty strong side from Salford as well, all things considered (and let's not forget we were minus Paul and Govin, had a trialist in Mills and two kids in Nicholson and Pownall who have only just come up from the reserves).

Was a little weird yesterday, spotted Mike Morrison in the ground, Ste Nash playing and David Mills playing.

As most SL Vs Champ challenge cup games end in a cricket score bar the odd exception why don't we make the SL clubs play by our 1 quota spot rule? Gives more kids a run out and closer more exciting games

Finishing bottom next year or not might just be the difference maker for teams wishing to stay in SL. It's harder to kick out a team nestled in the top six even with a bunch of foreigners than it is someone adrift in the lower reaches of the league. Given a number of teams probably lied about their stadium, and have not achieved what they said they would, there are a number in trouble and they wont all go down.

They haven't lied. Go see the VT for legitimate explanations as to why these stadiums haven't been built. It's absolututely not the fault of the clubs. It someone else's fault.

The sad part about it is that the bit about the chemical licence is probably true - thus meaning that Castleford and Richard Wright have got away with blatent lying for quite some time. I can understand when clubs stretch the truth a little when advising of completion dates, but it appears to me that Castleford in particular have told lie after lie to string the media along. The general gist of Cas press releases has been along the lines that funding is in place and that work would begin soon - and thats been goin on for years. Considering their (lack of) progress, when Cas were putting their licence application together early in 2008, realistically there were nowhere near even starting the stadium. With Wakefield and Salford - they too have lied, but with Wakefield, they seem to have been back and foward with planning permission and Salford seem have their hands tied by Peel, but its the way Cas have maintained the same story month on month, year on year, but still no tangible evidence that plans are any closer to fruition.

Meanwhile, "scummy" clubs like Widnes and Leigh are playing out of Grade A stadiums.

TBF to Cas & Salford at least they have focussed on one project and trying to make it work... plus it will be Cas's ground so i'd give them a little more credit. Whereas Wakey will basically jump straight into bed with anyone who offers to build them a new ground and then when goes up in the air act like they have been totally screwed over when in effect their own futures aren't even in their own hands!

Criteria is a farce, whoever is in, is simply hand picked.

Adequate cannot be used for HD floodlighting, undersoil heating and what is a fantastic playing surface constructed from the latest hybrid grass.
The corporate facilities are probably the best of any RL ground, all that is needed is a competitive SL team.
