I know we've got to start somewhere but I wouldn't be too excited about most of those. Unless a player has real quality, I don't see why we'd go for many players the wrong side of 30 - Senior and Long being the obvious ones to avoid. A player of Webb's quality I can fully understand, but Clarke, O'Hara, Chan and Briscoe? None of these players are either a) stand out performers or b) going to get any better at this stage of their careers. I suppose to put it into perspective, would any decent SL side be looking to sign these type of players? I know we won't be a team of superstars, but on the other side, a team of that ilk wouldn't be good enough either. We need a bit of balance between class and plodders, but we only seem to be linked with the plodders at the moment. Would be a bit more exciting if we had been linked with 1 or 2 top class players.

Tbf under the old system of P&R your potential signings list would not be that strong... And bare in mind that's only what we have directly read / heard!

Chan is a very good player, you've obviously never seen him play.

I have stressed elsewhere that I haven't seen enough of either in 2011 to fully judge and I'm happy to have been seemingly proven wrong on him

I've always liked Chan, never seen him as a 'star' but a steady player who does a good job. Would be a good addition next season. Good SL experience too.

Jason Chan would be a fantastic signing. He was unlucky not to be selected for the Exiles.

jason chan is a under rated player thats powerfull and strong and defensivley sound plays good minutes aswell. good signing not sure on ohara though dont really rate him but i suppose it depends on what other forwards you get to complement him

i will continue to make offerings to the dark gods just in case its untrue. i would also like ot add, i certainly wouldnt complain if jason chan rocked up at the stobarticus. hes a bit of a beast

o'hara also, solid as a rock. would be very useful IMO. the chances of us being bullied by bigger, more experienced packs next season drops drastically with those two involved.

It's more likely that Chan isn't on Twitter and is therefore a nobody in J20's cyber eyes

They'd be two excellent additions to the pack. Two big forwards, as you say they won't be bullied by the other packs of SL next season. League Express was hinting around an announcement of these two soon so that'd be nice. Keep those offerings going and hopefully he'll be a Crusaders player before we know it
