I was with my wife and daughter, parked right next to your coaches wirth other Leigh fans with families and your chavs were singing 'we all hate Leigh scum' to which some of our chavs responded.

There was then a minibus of your youth hanging about whilst the traffic died down supping lager and giving a lot more than they got. This went on for a good 20 minutes, general singing as lads do but with plenty anti-Leigh stuff thrown in.

I wasn't bothered one way or the other as I've shoes older than most of the kids playing Johnny Bigdick and have seen it all before and more, but if you're going to whine about abuse that never even got past the girly name calling stages, then at least open both of your eyes.

FWIW, I thought you had a good loud following, a lot more than last year, and a good number considering it was Thursday night Sky game and you've been gash all season.

Im just mystified about what Leigh expect, Thursday night and the games on sky and we have come of the back of 2 defeats and all as we get is abuse and crap following etc. Money is a big issue in this division so lets see how Leigh cope - 400/500 paying fans.

I can see where VM is coming from. Alot of people made a good effort to leave work straight away and go straight to the game with their famalies and all you here is, shocking following. At the end of the day if we have a shocking following, bare in mind we bring hundreds more to any more stadium than any other team, doesn't say alot about your support and other clubs support.

I'd say it's the complete opposite from what I saw. To me it looked like a bunch of 10/15 young lads who'd drunk a bit too much standing by the doors of the coach/minibus singing "We all hate Leigh scum" as we walked past.

Aw come on VM! For what it's worth, I was disappointed in the numbers of Vikings' fans attending, but I fully understand the reasons.

Thursday night games do affect the away following. This game should have been played on Good Friday.

Maybe Widnes haven't been playing as well. That also will affect away following. (look at us last season, we were getting down to the diehards)

I guess prices are high at LSV.

All that said, there won't be many visiting teams that better your attendance - I was hoping for a big following from 'Fev, but not on a Tuesday night!

P.S. There might not have been as many of you as we hoped, but you certainly got behind your team - well done, those of you who managed to get there.

I usually ejoy reading Vikingmans posts but this one is a very sorry effort.

I will still attend your place when we play you but then I am a fan and follow my team home and away even when we are not playing well or carrying a lot of injuries.

Never will ever stop me going to Leigh. I love all the banter, the 'poor following' is just banter that's all. We do the same to teams that come to our place. The only thing that aggrevates me about going to Leigh is that we always play poop there.

I do not condone violence, but to me it just seems like some soft kids.Leigh have idiots just as much as widnes fans.I will still go leigh but, £16 is a shocking price to get in the ground.Widnes bring a good following, and what you also got to realise is a few widnes fans will not go due to our performances.I expected us to lose and i bet leigh do not bring as many seen as are top of the league.
