Worst second half I've seen in a long time.

im sat here watchiong sky live scores. im sorry to say, i think its going to be yet another rather dull season. seems to be the same old sh**t once again.
and im not going all doom and gloom after a couple of defeats. but without being there i bet i can tell exactly whats gone on. because we have been like that for a few years now, regardless of who was coaching or playing.

not that i really expected anything more. too many people got too excited about our prospects this season.

Smurfster I don't often use terms like this but it was a gutless lazy second half. So many missed tackles to be laughable.

i just dont get the mental state that leads to this. fair play to leigh who obviously took their chances, but what was it!!??? it cant be complacency at only 8 points infront. so what the f**k is it!!? i tell you winning the NRC was the worst and best thing thats happend to this club since the drop from superleague. i can understand playing the waiting game. but patience is wearing thin after 2 years of more or less being s**t.
and that does not explain why successive teams under successive coaches seem to have the same attitude issues at this club.

Tbh I think it could only be complacency because you were in our half 3 times in the first half and you scored 3 tries. That's all I can think.

Thursday is a million miles away now and I know we'll get the nod but at the moment I feel as though were frauds.

Right hand side of the re-jigged backline got tormented in that early part of the second half. Gave away so many easy metres.

Be interesting to see Millwards take on the second half because after the first couple of scores it became a cakewalk.

Not sure of the team selection either in those being left out replaced by weaker players. Picks was dog sh*t. Surely the worst for us.'Ken' Kavanagh as equally uninterested, Ropey- ati another, Coyle ,Nev the list goes on.

Quite glad at the moment that I won't be there on Thursday. My mind will more than likely be re- Widnes-ised again by then but it all feels like a giant anti-climax at the moment.

Hats off to Leigh for their fantastic second half demolition job and I remain a massive fan of the LSV.

I hate going into work on the back of a widnes loss! Even if we beat York and then Leigh the following week I still wouldn't be happy.

If you knew you was being sacked at end of the season,why put the effort in.all your players will go at the end of the season.Widnes will need a complete new squad in S.L.think you should have kept Mark Smith though looks still a star at Swinton.

Ropati was hopeless in defence and only out done in his ness by Paddy Flynn. I’m not too sure if their announcer actually got it right, and someone called Ken Kavanagh actually played instead of Ben, because that wasn’t the player I’ve been watching the last few weeks.

We could have scored at least one more try the second half, if Thacks could have resisted playing yet another ing dummy, for a change. But no! There’s a gap the size of a bus two yards out, with Finnegan ready to run through it, all that was needed was a simple short pass for a certain try. It seems to me that Thacks always has only one thought, and it’s to sell dummies. He can be a wonderful player, with ball in hand, but he needs to look at who might be in a better position with a pass, rather than just pull the dummy every time. It seems to be just his first instinct. That must change!!!!

What we saw today was a well drilled side up against one that just isn’t. Our defensive line has been a fecking shambles all season and just doesn’t move up in line quickly enough. We just end up with players shooting out willy nilly and, inevitably, missing the tackle and leaving a gaping whole in a defensive line that is already looking like a dogs hind leg. Utter garbage! What the feck is the coach doing with them in training?

I agree that Picks is a bit of a liability, but he wasn’t the only giving soft penalties away today and generally looking like he can’t be d. We need to get Gareth Haggerty and Danny Sculthorpe fit to play, and give Pickers a few weeks/months in the reserves.

There’s no-one out there willing to take control; we have no leader in the team. We really could do with a proper scrum half. This has been a worry to me since the start of the season.

It seems to me that this licence decision is affecting their concentration. We seem to be getting worse the nearer we get to D-Day. I can’t wait to get it out of the way, one way or another, and get back to watching my team with their minds only on their rugby. And Denis Betts needs to get that defensive line sorted out. If he can’t do that then it’s time to reconsider his future.

I agree. It's good program, with plenty of stuff about the opposition in it. You’re lucky to get one page on the opposition in most programs, including the Viking Storm, so hats off to them.
