Any of the above worth a look at for SL? I realise a number of them will stay on or move on but all have potential. I haven't included black or Rooney due to age for now.

| Luisi is a decent player but doesnt quite cut it for me, Gleeson has been around a while now and i dont think he will see super league again.

What do people see in him? No different to Matt Gardner but you wouldn't have him on that list!

| Excluding Widnes players i'd admit there are only a few i'd look at tbh, and before people say look at league posistions my thinking is i'd leave out players who'd purely be squad players as you may as well keep your own who know the club etc etc.
Liam Harrison - Would he be as devastating at SL level? Not sure but has the size and knows way to the line so worth a shot!
Andy Bracek - debateable as when off looks poor, but age on his side and would relsih a return so worth a shot at it for sure.
Shad Royston - Best outside back in league (after Kohe ) versatile enough and very strong in defence and reads the game well, another who should of stepped up by now!
Ben Black - Quality player, IMO should of made the SL move by now. Be interesting to see how much he'd have elft for it.
Luke Branighan - Similar to Black really, but stronger kicking game and maybe a few seasons extra in SL due to style of play.
Jamie Rooney - Maybe only a year or two but experience would help a lot as well as kicking game to settle side in.
Chris Hill - very talented and hard working forwards who could make the grade.
Kyle Briggs - Good all around game and has time on his side too, great kicking game could ease him in.
Nathan Wynne - Not his biggest fan but certainly big enough and know's how to boss a game.
Brendan Worth - Shed a little but tough hard working no nonesense prop.
Menzie Yere - Be interesting to see how he went but suspect in defence for that level.
Mark Gleeson - Maybe worth a year or two as a back up 9 in the 14 role, but has he the pace for impact in SL?
Lee Paterson (fax ) - Always looked good on the wing, decent speed, expert goal kicker and worth his chance i reckon.
(Actually that turned out fairly big lol, will possibly add a maybe list too!)

| Not too many. Royston, Beswick, Branighan, Briggs, Handforth, Beswick, Knowles and Harrison off the top of my head. They could do jobs. But nobody particularly outstanding. I'd keep together about 5 or 6 current Vikings, as well as our developing youngsters, then look to SL and Australia for new talent. It'll be interesting, if we get to SL, if the club will be informed who is going to face the chop. If it was Wakey for instance, (which I believe it will be) then we should look to bring in a few of their players. I wouldn't want us to be Widnes Wildcats / Tigers / Reds / whoever, but quality players are hard to come by. The likes of Kirmond, Korkidas, Obst, King etc are really good.

| Obviously i only watch Fax week in week out but i think there is plenty from Fax that could step up and do a job in SL. I dont think theres any that could step up to play for a top team but we have individuals who could do a job.
Royston - Best Fullback in this league and i think he could go well at a mid table team. I think he might be playing in this league again next season for one of the RFL develpoment teams.
Worrincy - Come on leaps and bounds this year and if he keeps improving he is probably our most likely candidate to get a SL team in a year or two.
Nash - If he could tackle he would be playing in SL. His offload play in attack is superb, his defnce not so.
Goddard - Has had his chance and im not sure if he will get another one. Very solid though.
Patterson - You could put him on the wing of a lower team in SL and i dont think he would be out of place.
Greenwood - If it wernt for his injuy i would think he could of stepped up. Who knows now.
Branighan - Quality player, not sure if he would fit in to a SL team or not though. Most teams have gone away from this type of player.
Black - Again first time he came over i would have said yes no problem he could step up. When running at the line, coupled with his awarness and great hand off hes probably one of the best attcaking players in the league, however his passing lets him down on more than one or two occasions so not sure really.
Maloney - Probably in the best 2 or 3 props in the league and i think he could do a job in SL. He has had a chance though and its rare for people to get another go.
Penky & Gleeson - Again very good players at this level but both had a chance and dont think they will get another.
Tamghart - I think he could come off the bench for a low SL team and do a job no probs.
Think thats about it really. Like i say as individuals then yes theres lots of players at this level that could do a job. Very rare to find one that could be outstanding. Put them up as a team and more than likely they would get mullered most weeks.

| Menzies Yere looked knackered after 20 minutes against us - he'd have to up his fitness. Ropati would be a banker for mine and at a push - Brannighan and Patterson. Misi Tapioca or whatever his name is could be in with a shout too - he's had experience in the NRL also.

| Always hard to tell really isnt it ?
Weve seen relatively solid players in this league adapt well to the full time environment and prove to be capable in SL and on the other side players who you would think would be capable of stepping up struggling to make an impact.
Ryan Tandy as an NRL winner after his spells at this level probably sum it all up.
Full time environment can make a massive difference.

I would imagine now Haven have been relegated that Calvert will want to leave,
whoever gets him will see the benefits next season.
one of the best wingers in this league imo, if he was in a good side he would be scoring tries for fun.

Yep.. but slowing down from where he started at means that be is still pacier than your average Championship winger.

| If I was going to pick a player for next season, which may possibly make SL, I might be tempted to go for Tim Bergin (Sheffield winger). He’s looked good every time I’ve seen him play. He’s fast, great step, quick hands, and seems pretty tough. He looks fairly young too. He was their stand-out player, when he played against us last week.
He reminds me a bit of Paddy Flyyn.

| Not a cat in hells chance could Liam Harrison make it in Super League, he only has 2/3 decent games a year, the rest of the time he's a liability, crap defence and struggles to keep hold of the ball !! I think Bracek could get back in there, but not at prop, more likely in the back row. Would like to see how Royston would go at that level, very good player to watch. Also think James Nixon could step up with the pace he has, lightning quick.

I always liked Tandy when he was in this division. Always wondered why he had trouble sticking around at a club. Im fairly positive that Melbourne could turn any player into a good player if they have a decent frame and mentality.

| Never really rated Calvert or he certainly has never really played well against Widnes. I rated him as much as I rated Gregg McNally (not alot!) who is not playing Championship 1 rugby.
It's a question that's difficult to answer, full time training makes a massive difference, better players around them etc. There are certainly players that can make the leap, hopefully Widnes won't have any picked off from them this winter, though I do expect Thacks to go unfortunately.

Terry and the player did not talk money terry wanted to know the player plans for next season and if he had any other clubs talking to him.
