Same position as last year for me I recon, not quite strong enough to get to 8th yet IMO.

I think the one thing we have in our favour VM is we've kept a similar squad to what we had 2 years ago and got rid of the crap. (Still got a bit left)

I think we've gelled very well and proved in glimpses we could tough it with most teams. Definitely alot of improvement needed, hammerings by Leeds, Hull KR, Catalans?, Huddersfield and Hull prove that these were not just one off occasions.

We need to avoid the bottom 2 but I hope we don't sit back on this goal and I really hope the players go for gold and get the 8.

I agree in terms of keeping a settled squad i just don't think we have enough class out wide to force our way into the top 8, i also think that we struggle a little when up against a big dominant pack. We still haven't really replaced Cross, a big bruiser would certainly add to our squad no end. One things for sure we won't give as many penalties or spilled ball away now that Hock is gone but his power game will be missed.

I heard last week that we've looked at and spoken to Wigan about Rhodri Lloyd possibly on loan i assume as he's contracted to Wigan. He would add competition to the centre spots given that most weeks one of Phelps/Dean/Marsh are injured, thats just a rumour though at this stage.

We're improving all the time and should look to press on this season. Of course other teams haven't sat still, but I really expect us to get 8th...

I think Declan Hulme,Lawton, and Carberry could surprise a few next year.Johnson,Tickle and Galea will be hard working players which could get results. Mellor and Brown another year pairing and be interesting how Craven and Gilmore develop further. If I could sign someone it be a class centre or winger.
