Quote ="AaronD"I've heard a lot of people say that we don't deserve to be in super league because of our on field performances.
But i would like to ask do you think that Mr O'Connor would of invested a load of money into the 1st team so we would of been promoted? So either way we would of been going up.

Yes it was levelled at us before and just after the announcement from those fans angry at the decision but this seems to have settled down quite a bit.
For what it's worth we did invest in the first team as much as we were allowed. Every year we have been in this competition we have spent to the maximum.
What I would argue is that had we not qualified with the NRC win then I think SOC would have battled a lot harder to have the salary cap remain at the higher level or ask for a dispensation as Fax and Barrow apparently did.
Do we deserve to go up? Under the current system then certainly we do... if this system hadn't been in place then who knows? It's all hypothetical as things may have turned out differently.
I was and still am against licencing. The only decent argument I have ever heard for it has come from Neil Turley funnily enough who almost had me won over. But not quite.
Having said all that I am not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. SL it is!!
