Hi VM, I am still doing some commentary but only for the games that don't clash with Leigh, so far that's about 4 that I'm down for. When Leigh go to the Stobart I do the video commentary.
I wouldn't call it wannabe viking, it's more of a rollercoaster ride at Leigh. I've done a few match reports on Widnes down the years (well 2005-07). As I'm doing all the Leigh Journal reports on Centurions I'm not at half as many Vikings games, but due to my commitments on Radio General for Warrington hospital I am keeping tabs on 3 teams this season in Leigh, Widnes and Warrington.
So Widnes don't escape my scope.
Keep tabs on my blog dprl.blogspot.com/, I'm averaging one post a day on there this year, inspired by that fella Chris Irvine who did a book a couple of years ago based on a blog. |

I saw the Viking Storm programmes when I called in to the office to buy tickets earlier.
They wouldn't sell me one but I can reveal that they are 'standard' programme size rather than the A4 efforts of recent years.

Couldn't really understand the club's argument about why it was so expensive for the club to produce. At one of the events at the club someone asked, wouldn't it be cheaper if they were smaller or ordered less of them but the answer was no and we'd still get charged the same price. My immediate thought was well try a different print shop then. It can't be that hard to find somewhere that will work to a specific budget, can it?
Anyways, I've heard that the new programme isn't being run by the club, someone has offered to take it on instead and I guess any profit/loss will affect them rather than us.
