Quotewhile thanks to an Anthony Thackeray hat-trick and [size=150in no small part to a touch of butter fingers from Ben Black[/size, Widnes won at Halifax 27-22 to go into the Northern Rail Cup Final'"
A decent read is that and it was definately an up and down season, while the club did make noises about bringing full time players in that turned out to be rubbish as we knew players like Wildbore only trained one night a week. Stanky was a tough casualty in all this and i hope one day we'll see him back but im more than happy with Cullen. Getting Mick Cassidy back is also a good move as the guy is tough and fit and has done it all.
With a full pre season under Cullen/Cassidy/Wilkinson and good quality players brought in training at the same time im sure this season will be much more consistant for us.
