Anyone catch the story Humberside ran on the sports bulletin yesterday morning? They played an audio clip of someone from Hull City Council (think it was Brady) saying that expansion needed to happen & they were going to open dialogue with Allam to see how this could happen. Sounded like a real softening of attitude from HCC, not the "It's ours & you're not having it" stance they've taken previously. Has something happened behind the scenes here?

The council have realised they may have to pay for the expansion !

Mr Brady is in flap about service and cutting cost and mentions Allam on the burnsy show on humberside . It's on I player(radio) from the 24th . I got interviewed about cost cutting while at springhead golf course and that's the only reason I remember it . He seems to have cooled off on the Allams by the sounds of it or just being diplomatic

why expand if city cant sell out? caller on Humberside stated tomorrows game hasn't sold out yet!

Why not sell the kc to the allams or are the allams expected to pay for expansion on something they dont own ?

Why waste there time expanding there gonna go down anyway if not this year then next

Be impossible to do since we have a long term lease of almost 100 years on Craven Park

And we haven't got any agreement in place have we ? Oh wait .....

If they want it and are going to be the only benefactors of it, then err... yeah, they are.

So with a 100 year lease you have decided to improve the facilities by building a new stand? But you don't own the stadium, who'd have thought, it must be possible then!!

If Dr Allam can not afford the expansion maybe he should ask the council for a soft loan to cover the costs just like Rovers.

Imagine the lease can be bought back for a tenner or so.

Is it built?

Christ we are not going though all this again are we, so boring now.

Its not "impossible" even if you own it - compulsory purchase and such like. It most certainly possible under a leasing arrangement.
