You do realise the fact his contract was up has nothing to do with it, don't you? It's a completely different set of rules regarding academy players.

As I keep saying, cant see anything coming of it, If its led to an immediate review of FC policies at the time then it means whatever they propose now to safeguard this happening in the future wasnt in place at the time.

The only issue is the "external" informant who allegedly told Leeds about the contract situation. And thats nothing to do with Leeds.

pearson is no mug and wouldnt be doing this if he didn't think there was substansial evidence or information to warrant any compensation, just because it leeds doesn't make them untouchable like you think they are!

there is a small amount of compensation as he is under 22 - so FC are entitled to the equivalent of £115 per week for his contract, plus £5k if Leeds are paying him £25k or more. The tribunal is likely to look at any due process issues and I reckon its more legal and technical than anything else.
