The importance of basics to give ourselves the best chance in attack - quick PTB, dummy runners, crisp passing, organised structures, knowing what the player next to you is doing - are overly important without Horne & Holdsworth but appear utterly absent. Nearly 2 years in, that's poor.

I don't think he'd have known too much about Watts and Pitts, but even if he did signing the player and coaching them is different.

Theres players who constantly make the same errors, if were winning they'd be dropped.

When Gentle first came here we were always trying blind side moves, getting the ball wide early and little chips here and there.

Now we've gone to our defense to get us out of trouble, we have no confidence in our own ability and play 1 man rl, we kick early trying to force the oppo in to a mistake but tire out our forwards in the process and our rotation seems to have gone to pot.

Thank god we get at least one more cup final this year!

But the point was that if Gentle wants rid of half the squad, a) he signed much of it now, and b) why is he still picking largely the same team? That would suggest that the ones he doesn't want are the ones not playing, not those playing regularly and constantly making the same errors.

And I really don't get 'if we were winning they'd be dropped' point. If we were winning it would probably be because they were playing better. If making mistakes that contribute to losses isn't the time to drop players, why on earth would when you're winning be?

Completely agree. Simply not good enough. Plenty of clubs with poorer playing rosters are far better organised than we are

Disappointing to hear Gentle even entertain the possibility of fatigue being a factor. We played the same way against Catalans (league)/Widnes/Wakey/Castleford/KR etc. I hope he turns it around - starting with next week - but it's best for him not to assume the fans are totally clueless - we saw the same lack of support/structure and the same errors well before we played a hot cup tie in France.

We have nothing to fall back on when playmakers are out and we need to do the basics better than the opposition to compete. Too much reliance on individuals to pull a fancy play out of the bag.

Not all coached believe in "you don't change a winning side" they play their best side. We could have easily won most of our last few games but some players would have still played poorly.

I am totally getting fed up of hearing our training performance was spot on and our warm up was spot on, but he don't realise doing it on the training ground and then doing it on the pitch is totally different.

I've been hoping someone would pull a fancy play out tbh. We seem to either follow the game plan slavishly, or not at all. Would love a real flair player to do something unexpected

This has been an irritation to me with the last few coaches. I think since McRae we've had a run of people who haven't given us enough credit to understand what we're seeing. They've talked plenty about what we're struggling with and offered weak attempts to fob us off as to why and how we'll work to fix it, but not actually done a hell of a lot to deliver. I really hope Gentle is not just another in that mould, but I am starting to wonder.

The point is we can't follow even a basic plan. We played the basic plan for 15 or 20 mins and looked dominant but then when Bradford had a bit of ball and attacked we flapped and panicked and pathetically lost our way. I think the majority of our players lack heart and brains. When things go wrong we compound the issues and get worse. There's effort but no fight if you know what I mean. No real true competitors to take it on and turn things around when the going gets tough. Effort yes - but heart/direction/competitiveness - No.

Maybe we should all save our season pass money or £24 game day money and just go and watch them train during the week if they're THAT good?

I actually thought we'd got rid of the "head-dropping when things don't work out" syndrome but if if it did go, its come back

IF we lose embarrassingly to Wire then he may get the AP shove , I HOPE and PRAY we win.

I said back after 9 games that you generally finish within 2 places of where you are , with few exceptions. I also thought that an unlucky CC exit and a poor play-off would not be enough for AP.

I watch with interest but I am only concerned right now with beating Wire and PG should without question be the man to take the team
