Regards Lauaki, he isn't playing in such a key position as Mcgoldrick is, also having watched Lauaki last season, my opnion still hasn't changed and he is an average SL, who did nothing of note at Wigan last year. I really dont know how he plays for Wigan and got the length of his deal.

Once again I have not said that Horne is a better player at halfback than Mcgoldrick, but Horne is contracted, Mcgoldrick isn't and I see no point at all in having both as backups, waste of salary cap.

I thought Mcgoldrick did well for Hull, much better than expected but I feel that some Hull fans are over playing how good he was for us. I suggest some people watch a the Catalans, Wigan and Widnes games when he was truly awful (some others were).

IMO there is no point in having Mcgoldrick, when Horne is signed on, if Horne wasnt here and for a year at the right price Mcgoldrick would be a decent option.

If he goes,do we sign another winger(as things stand) or go with Crookes and Lineham?? Personally atm,would give the 2 lads a go,and use salary cap elsewhere

As good a player as Briscoe is (and he's very good), do you think it makes sense to tie up a large % of salary cap on a winger? I know you have plenty spare at present, but this may change in 2014.

Of course we want him to stay but if he goes we have Tom Lineham ready and waiting,and one more year of progress should do him good.Did exceptionally well before he got injured,and has pace to burn,certainly more than Briscoe.Plenty of work to be done but he's quality..

We'll have to see how Lineham and Crookes go. I'd imagine they will look to bring in a big replacement for him.

If we've got enough room for Prince and we've got O'meley and Galea retiring we've got enough to make Briscoe a good offer.

So, you'd all rather go into ANOTHER season without a scrum-half? McGoldrick played his socks off for us every time he pulled that jersey on. We have cap money and McGoldrick would have been a stop-gap.

Regardless, there will be no world-class scrum halves coming up mid-season, there never are.

I thought Lineham had more pace than Briscoe. I mentioned this to one of our players who said Tom Briscoe is faster, maybe Briscoe is faster than he sometimes looks

Don't know if this has been mentioned. But with us wanting to enter into talks with Briscoe now, are we looking at paying him a fortune this year as we have lots of cap left and then reducing it in the following years

Can't see Briscoe been fast than Lineham, perhaps over a short distance maybe? But for me Lineham looks like he has blistering pace and imo one of the fastest in the league easily. Looks very strong in the tackle too.
