talking to David Howes at a function (Moore's agent) he said Moore would love the opportunity to come to Hull and he cannot for the life of him understand why they have not snapped him up in their current predicament.
He also reckons that from what he hears the club are looking at Sam Obst from Wakefield, who are desperate for cash and on that basis they would offload any of their players at present....wakefield seem to be doomed for a 2012 license.
Also that Sammut is def looking to go back to NRL next season.
Will the club pay a big fee for one season again for a player who clearly does not see his future playing in England ?

I understand what your saying,but if Niklas was playing in the championship,who's to say he wouldn't have been tearing it up.When he came in he didn't look out of place and but for injury I think he would have had more game time.Young Lee Williams is supposed to be a pretty hot prospect also.
I could be wrong but I think Briggs had time at Huddersfield before being released to Featherstone .Perhaps the club have not signed either of these players because they believe we have as good if not better prospects comming through.I would like to think that the club has been asking the opinions of the senior players such as Longy,Fitz,etc as to their prospects,particularly Longy as he sees his future in some sort of coaching role.

It baffles me to be honest why Moore isn't already here, not only is he a talented player, but whenever I've seen him he looks like a real playmaker, the type of player we just don't produce in this country, from what I gather he was very unlucky not to get a shot at Leeds and has tore up every level he's played at. That's no guarantee he'd make it, but for such a minimal risk and especially with the tide turning in the way of overseas players, I really hope we don't miss a trick with him.

Maybe Agar rates Nicklas and Williams more, just because he looks good in the lower leagues doesn't mean they will make SL, some do some don't, plenty of teams could do with a back up halfback, why haven't they signed Moore?

As for Obst, would be a shocking move, would rather stick with what we have and use the above two players and see who becomes available in the off season.

I agree and think he would be a good addition to your squad. The reason I asked was a lot of FC fans I know are constantly saying a HB signing this year is a stop gap to cover Long / Horne for a year as a prelude to bringing in a Cronk / Thurstan status player for 2012 when a few of your top earners are likely to leave. Personally I agree with what a lot have put about being better value going for an NRL second string HB who is young and keen rather than ending up in a similar position to what Bradford did with Orford.

I do not think Sammut is the finished ariticle, i believe he has the ability to be some-thing very special, off the cuff with plenty of vision. He doesn't know what he will do next let alone his team mates

.....reminds me of a young Longy.Most of the world class h/backs are off the cuff with plenty of vision, if we got Sammut i would want him on a 3/4 year deal, he would be worth it.

To be fair regardless of the level they have played at from the little I have seen Moore looks to have that something extra then Nicklas, and a different skills set, albeit I've seen very little of both, that's not being negative, even if iam right there could be space for all 3 players, Leeds brought McGuire and Burrow through at the same, Wigan still have talented halfbacks on there books even though they have Tompkins, all I'm saying is I think it would be stupid to pass up on what looks like such a talented player, 5 years ago we had the most talented young halfback in the country on our books in Tommy Lee, it dosnt always work out, the more talented young players you have on the books increases the chances in one making it.

If you're selective there's actually some useful information to be had from Twitter feeds. Plenty of companies/groups/organisations now use Twitter to put out info and some news correspondents/outlets as well.

I think Chase was always more like for 2012 than this season and as for Sammutt the issue is paying a big fee for someone who might not want to stay long term.

There are still signing we could make that would strengthen our sqaud and halves. For instance sign a fullback and release Tansey to cover 6,7 and 9.
