No doubting he is quality but he has glass shoulders, would not touch him tbh even though I like the way he plays.

What's all this Briscoe - centre stuff again

He is developing into a top class winger, what the hell is wrong with that? I would like to see how he goes at centre but think for at least another season he should be left on the wing unless needs must, he is doing a cracking job there.

He's no doubt looking for a easy time on a long contract, Bradford would be a safe bet.

If Tom doesnt get his deserved centre spot soon you a going to have an extremely talented but cheesed off player on your hands, there are a few ageing centres in SL going to need replacing shortly..i cant think of a better candidate..

I agree I cant help thinking we are missing a trick not giving Briscoe a run at centre.

There are a few Wigan lads being touted by their agents to make way for marque signings , and a huge rumour that Richards is leaving at the end of the year to play NFL and has a contract in place to do so ifhe signs it for BIG BUCKS which I am led to believe is being kept quiet til he decides , how true that is i do not know but I heard it directly from a very very close pal and playing colleague of his!!

So we need to sign another winger then!

Looks young and raw but with plenty of promise. Defensively would give me a heart attack though.

We were a winger down after releasing Raynor really cos we never directly replaced him but I think we will sign a new one anyway.

I just think Tom Briscoe would give us an edge in attack playing at centre.

I also think we discredit how good Mark Calderwood is when fit , he is a chaser and hungry to annoy people when chasing kicks etc, just been very unlucky with injurys

Yeaman will be first choice centre for the next three years, of that I'm certain.

Therein lies one of his biggest problems.

Not sure he's big enough Dave but I would give him a go there. I think we have up and coming centre candidates that deserve a chance, Briscoe included, as you do.

I said before we needed big considerations before resigning Horne and yeaman.

I guess:
1. He isnt the biggest but as a super strong centre he's not as far away strength wise as some may think
2. If he cant pass he shouldnt be a centre! I'd say he's got a decent pair of hands on him for a back row, as has Radford.
3. Fair point about laying into props. I'd hope that he doesnt have to do that too much though if our own props number up correctly.
4. Yes he would, attacking wise it would be nice to see pace in the forwards too. Not sure.

I guess the better option would be for us to not have renewed Yeamo's contract but thats done now.

On the whole i agree he isn't big enough. But in order to give the preferred backline a go it may be the move is made out of necessity.

It's not a case of me wanting it, it's more a case of us needing it as a club to give our backline a go.

IMO he isn't good enough to oust any of our first choice back row.

If he's not playing well enough he should be dropped.
