I admit I ain't agars biggest fan and the jury still out on that front, as last season we had an explosive start and everyone was expecting big things. As is all went pearshaped I personally don't think agar was up to the job when if was called to step to the plate!!. I however do allow him the fact that we suffered team killing injuries. So far getting rid of the players he did was in the best interest of the club due to their well known problems oh and of course thorman!!. It's HIS season with HIS players now and when or if we suffer injuries similar to last year I personally hope he does pull through and pulls the team together.. if by July we sinking badly again then obviously not right man for job. This is my opinion. Also I believe long, fitzy and berro are the main reason for a lot of the good tactical decisions during games so far but agar does deserve some credit.. hope he proves me and many others wrong.

Need to finish in the play offs in my opinion for him to stay, regardless of injuries or any other consideration with the exception of a Challenge Cup final victory.

if I am a good judge of Agar and i have only been lucky enough to meet him with my son for photos etc he seems a decent sort of fella with all the time in the world for the young fans, and that all of you is what matters that he has time for the fans.
As a coach his record is poor thus far but improving week by week now he has his own squad and thuis far we have beaten last years 2nd and 3rd in the comp so give the guy a chance huh, and lets not forget that I am sure he does not give Wolfie any info that could put the club in harms way and wolfie having a pal like Agar is bully to him !! I wish i had him on my text list thats for sure ...
As for Wolfies name dropping I dont see anything other than protecting a mate as some did last year when Radders was attacked etc

Lets get this sorted,i personaly couldnt give a sh-t what people think of me,i had all this a few years ago with somebody insulting me and sending pms i found out it was actualy one of my mates he started out as a bit of fun but didnt know when to stop.

This thread was a straight forward question, i wasnt bigging rich up in any shape or form,when i started the fundraising for preckie agar helped me out with some items for my auction ie yeamos granfinal shirt,and horneys shirt,we just became friends and text each other now and again maybe once a week,and we have a chat when ever we see each other,he doesnt speak to me about team affairs,i realy dont get what the problem is he is a normal bloke just like the rest of us,i have backed him because i believe he will do a great job for us and prove many people wrong,he was dealing with so much sh-te last year i sometimes wonder how he got through it,to be fair i cant believe how much us fans put up with.
The comments i dont take kindly to is when people insinuate about us been bum chums etc some people go way over the top on here,yes im a big lad but i dont need to listen to it,ok maybe i do go on a bit to much about rich so guess i bring a lot of it on myself.
as for standee and jake i dont even know jake tbh he claims to know me but eh ho,as for standee were pretty good mates and we often share a pint together but guess my constant rans about rich is not to his liking

ill not say anymore on the matter lets hope for a great season and rich and everyone involved with the club bring a trophy home to the kc.

as far as I am concerned wolfie, it's not personal, in no way, shape, or form.

the job is bigger than being a decent bloke, which is what I am alluding to. He's in a public position, gets paid (well paid) for his troubles, so he can take the heat (and I am sure he doesn't give a monkies about what I think anyway)

Just don't get carried away people, two games, we've done well, in 10 games time we can make a judgement.

Thats easy, simply turn up at training one week day and your lad can grab them for all the photos, signatures etc he wants.
The players expect to be mobbed by all of about half a dozen at the end of training session and from what I saw they are more than happy to give five minutes.

(By the way I took my lad when I popped in, I didnt ask for any myself as Im a grown man so please no abuse about me being sad !!

Thanks for the advice mate, problem is we live on the Peak district so a way to go for training , need to keep trying at the players entrance on match days i guess but will catch him one day !!

Problem is the players dont actually spend that much time at the KC stadium apart from on match days so its a lot easier to catch them at training.

You beat me to posting this mate - I'm not anti Rich Agar, I was going to point out what the board had done in the past.
Anyway, its an awkward question - if we're doing well and improving (cup semi final or final plus play offs) then he may well have deserved his extension. However, as others have pointed out, what would a top drawer Aussie coach get out of this team? (I would prefer Hull to sit top of the tree with an English coach at the helm though).

I'll leave it to the board to make this decision - I'm sitting on the fence!

Have to agree with you Wolfie.Although I think some of the posts seem personaly insulting,I think it can be misinterpreted being the written word.
If we were all sat together having a beer and disputing each other,it maybe would have a different context.

Fully agree about the written word, Often misinterpreted. I actually think Im funny in real life but on here I read my own posts and think what a 2@ he is !!!!

The Agar threads always become like the old joke about the woman who buys his husband two ties for his birthday. He comes down in the evening wearing one of thie ties and his wife says "what's wrong with the other one?" Agar pickes Radford, Cusack, Dowes and O'Meley - why hasn't he picked Moa? Why hasn't he picked Turner? Why hasn't he picked Washbrook? He picked a nice tie alright? The other ties are nice as well! Difference is, these are all his ties - it's "his team" supposedly.

We can't decide if he's a good coah after two matches but I, for one, am seeing a huge difference in the team - the defence out wide has been much stronger, and up the middle it is tighter than it has been for many a year: we are able to defend our half for more than 4 tackles without losing a try. We have go-forward and several keys for unlocking opposition. Long, Berrigan, Horne and Tansey will break teams apart this year. This is a different team and may well be the start of a new era. If Moore and the on-field coaches bring this about then I will doffing my cap to Agar for having the vision to assemble that management team around him because, quite frankly, as long as we're winning medals I don't mind how FC do it.

Too early to decide on Agar's contract. Said before start of the season he needs at least 10 games before any decisions are made either way. If he wins 70% then a 12 month extension would be good. Longer if/when we win something.
