You miss the point. Hull wanted both players in addition to those you mention. they now have to go and find replacements who will either not be as good or will cost more

May well of been but I still believe his departure was less than amicable.

So do we only play players we know for definite are going to be at the club for the following season? That could get complicated.

In the grand scheme of things any extra 'development' that either Manu or Turner get over the rest of the season is hardly going to benefit Saints that much, and not fielding our best 17 every week will hurt us more. Players have to be picked on form - anything else is plain daft.

Martin did begining of season and has been brought back ahead of him as well.Apart from the hat-trick against dobbins...he hasnt been as good as people make out.Just my opinion and Crooks WILL be a better player in the long run.

Quite possibly but I've known many a d**khead get binned yet when it happens they're somehow suprised and blame everybody but themselves.

I agree about Crooks likely being better in the long run, but right now we're better off easing him in.

Martin got in ahead of Turner on form early season. More recently Turner has been the better of the two - and no, that isn't just based on the Derby.

I'd agree with that and last week saw some of his bad habits return luckily we weren't punished.

Noticed that since Martin has been out,Sharp has looked unsure again,who is is centre..oh yes..Turner.

Whole raft of storys about Brough...the one in the meeting,the breakfast one in Lances.

I personally think that turner is being overrated after looking good in few game this year, however he is a miles better playr than Martin.

He would be 4th for the rest of he year.

I'm not privy to Brough's actual thoughts or opinions of Hull but as you say it should be with the previous lot and not the current.

I'd put money on it.

Brough won't come back to Hull, at the moment in time Huddersfield are alot better team than us.

Main worry in that is the description of Moltzen who's been linked to us. He sounds absolutely rubbish.

Not necessarily, but with younger players who aren't the finished article, I'd say we had every right to omit them.



Manu won't get any development - he's already as good as he's going to be. Turner, on the other hand, has only really started to look good this season. He's still got a lot of developing to do before he reaches his potential, and we're unlikely to see any benefit from that. The way Crooks played against Leeds leads me to believe that he's ready to step up for a few more games with Martin spelling him as needed. That will give us far more long term benefit than playing Turner.



Depends whether you take a short-term or a long-term view of things. I'd sooner Crooks have a good deal more SL experience before the start of next year (when it's a lot more likely that we'll win something).
