Unnecessary and nasty. Agar's done/doing his best, works very hard and has unearthed some decent talent - without him the Briscoe brothers wouldn't be at the club. He's not been able to make the step up to a top 4 coach after 3 years. That doesn't make him a bad person.

On the contrary - from everything I've heard he's a thoroughly nice chap. I've literally not spoken to a single person with a bad word to say about him on a personal level. He's just not cut out for the job he has.

The part of it that bothered me is hauling him off when he doesn't do the same to other players for making errors. Fitzgibbon came up with several within minutes of each other last week yet stayed on for the full 80 and continued to make more. It just seems that Agar is too cowardly to take action when it's the more senior players involved, and that isn't right for either the team performance or player morale.

He definitely told someone to 'get him off'.

I'm not interested whether he's a nice bloke or whether he's doing his best. Yes he brought the Briscoe's to the club but if he hangs around much longer the oldest of those will be off in a year or two anyway as he seeks the silverware that his talent deserves. 'Cheap' as Agar might be, he's still paid far more than most fans of the club will ever hope to earn and all he can serve up is dross, he's stealing a living IMO so I won't be losing any sleep over a few harsh words.

I think Agar has to go, but I don't see why you would need to hold any personal malice towards him.

thats how i see it too,i wouldnt be too bothered if he stayed at the club in some capacity,hes just not up to the job he is employed at the club to do...

If I was running say the Royal Mail, I would be completely out of my depth and no doubt do a thoroughly poor job leading to thousands if not millions of unhappy customers.

He's in a highly paid high profile job and abuse comes with the territory. I realise it might make me look not very nice but I can't deny after putting up with 3 years of his rubbish I've built up a bit of animosity towards the bloke.

everyone is entitled to their own opinion of Agar but for me personally he over stepped the mark doing what he did to Sammy, there is showing passion and then there is what Agar is doing caught live on national tv verbally bashing one of his own players. Totally wrong saying "F-off sammy gettin him off", you can now all judge for yourselves if he was right or wrong.
