It seems strange that the club haven't announced his signing yet? Everyone knows it's happening and a lot of people have heard his interview with NZSport.

Reckon they may announce it soon to turn the attention away from the gleeson statement

But, with respect, the annoucement is total garbage.

This is a Hull FC fans message/discussion board, is it not, Gleeson is a Hull FC player, is he not, a statement has been made by FC that he has been given "leave", as the people who (indirectly) pay his wages we are perfectly entitled to comment.

No wonder there is an ever growing list of people who find it pointless coming on the boards in recent times.

Of course, but if the comments stray into potentially libellous areas (as a lot of the "speculation" already has) then the site owners have the right to remove the comments.

Give the Admin your Bank account details for any potential libelous action brought on them and post what you like.

But people don't know the facts. Some will claim to have heard from 'good sources' but no one really knows what is going on. So that is why it's not up for discussion as people making unsubstantiated comments can drop the site in hot water.

Then feel free to leave. Give me some names then...?

Go speak to admin if you wish and see what response they give you. They have already said ban anyone who does not follow the rules.

I honestly don't Martin. I can't think of anyone who used to post a lot and doesn't now with the exception of Big Dave T and his lack of posts have nothing to do with the way this board is run.

It was a genuine statement/request. You've mentioned many times that plenty of regular posters have stopped coming on here but I can't bring any to mind. I'm willing to accept that's down to my memory (which is pretty naff a lot of the time) so I'm open to proof that you're right and I'm wrong.

I honestly don't see why you'd be offended or upset by that.

Genuinely, the reason I very rarely post here any more is because of the continued negativity that infests almost every thread. It rarely matters what the thread is about or who started it but it always ends up being a slagging for someone, Richard Agar being the main target.

We know people don't rate Agar - but it has become tedious beyond belief how many times the same small number of people slag him off - his team selection, his rotations, his selection of people in whichever position, his ability etc. We know how these few people feel (hell it's even on a lot of their "avatars"icon_wink.gif but ffs can't we talk about something else? For example, after years of being light at 6 and 7 we have some potential depth there for next year and he and/or the board is now getting a slagging for not sorting the pack out.

If it's not Agar then it's the "public schoolboy" who isn't a fan (although my son and many of his friends at Hymers - where I think this particular victim of abuse attended - have season passes and have for may years) and Kaff who we're continually being told is ugly which is (a) rude, (b) in the eye of the beholder and (c) completely irrelevant to how she runs a club. To me, if we want debate then we need to stop everything being derailed into personal abuse of the coach, the board and any poster who try to start a topic about something or express an opinion about something that leans to the slightly positive.

Also, much of the good humour has disappeared from here. People on different sides of debates used to have a laugh =#0000FFwith each other even when they disgreed -now it's just laughing =#0000FFat each other.

I might be exagerating slightly but the thrust of what I'm saying seems to be true - to me at least.
