Think people are been a bit harsh to Satae this season. He’s been in a dreadful side and has had to play more minutes than he should be each week.

I think he had a few massive involvements against cas in the win. Then he’s also been massive in Hudds & Wigan wins. Coincidentally when he’s been able to move back into been an impact prop.

I think sataes a player who will always look immense when when we’re in a game but if we’re in the back foot his weaknesses are highlighted. He can certainly bust a line out of nowhere though. A trait not many props have.

I’ll be sad to see him leave, especially when he’s our most devastating ball carrier and proven player in our pack, it’s always a risk recruiting an overseas prop.

I’d love to see us bring in Trout, Walters and Dupree as we’d know what we’re getting with them but I think at best we get Trout.

Replacing him is going to be extremely tough but with him going it opens up more options. 3 quota spots would mean we could look at using one for a Hooker.

I’m in the minority here but if we can’t find a decent hooker, I’d roll the dice with Houghton for another season and spend the next 12 months searching for our future 9. I think Leeming will go Warrington now. A lot of fans wouldn’t be happy with Houghton but we know what we get with him and he’s extremely reliable and would be cheap.

Hooker is one of the most important positions for us to get right, we don’t want to gamble on it. Play it safe and get the right man. If we’re going to gamble I’d rather it be on Balmforth for TS doesn’t seem to like him. Not sure why as constantly looks too good for any level he plays at.

If the clubs clever they should bring an Aussie over on a 2 year loan, would allow NRL talents regular game time away from media and a cheaper, lower risk option for us whilst we look to build a sustainable side

He may be a good lad and have a good attitude but we need quality and pace otherwise we will be playing catch up for years

We've said all along that we are happy to let TS oversee our recruitment for 2024 and with the first name to be firmly linked people are complaining

i think the lack of squad depth we have had over recent seasons have allowed underachieving players go unchallenged, Wood is a capable centre who will keep our Centres and Wingers on their toes and will be a good player to slot in should either get injured. If he is going to be a starter every week then we have to trust Tony's judgement, it is certainly a better option in compared to SKD put it that way.

I'm trying to keep a level head and see how the recruitment plays out

. I'm sure we'll have holes in the squad still, but we can start moving in the right direction.

I can see us signing both SKD and Wood though, if the rumours about Swift are true.

Just hope that when next season starts we don't have an 80 page thread on how much the squad needs ripping apart again.

Periods of transition always involve journeymen who will turn up and have a go. That’s what Wood has done for KR and he’ll likely be in a similar position with us. The type of player we’re missing with our lack of squad depth.

As for Satae, he’ll be missed but he’s not worth massive money. Gone missing too many times this year and the move is probably right for him.

We’ve had years of a coach and his mates, then player power over a nice but not tough enough coach.

Now we’ve got a proven coach in who is determined to sort things out. It won’t take one transfer window anyway, so nobody panic just yet. Trust in the process.

Hopefully we'll be in for Eseh at Wakefield especially if they were to be relegated, young prop with loads of potential.

Its impossible to say until we actually announce a few more signings, departures and retentions. Until we have a better idea of what next years squad looks like maybe keep the knee unjerked?
Even our recent history is replete with unheralded and maligned signings proving excellent business so I'll reserve judgement for now, boring though that may be.

Would like to think we will be in for Kai O Donnell but reckon he will stay at Leigh.

We'll likely be linked to pretty much every half decent player who's said they're leaving the club in the next few weeks/months as we've so many off contract and a couple of quota spots to play with..just got to ignore a lot of it and wait until the club announces players I feel

I think if we do sign SKD it will be for 2 reasons
1. To replace Swift albeit he is slower but still a decent winger although geting on in age.
2. And the main reason I believe for the most important thing that we desperately need is change of culture and leader on the field. Also think Wood would be a decent signing. Now we need to go for props and SRs. Cant wait

What has Satae leaving got to do with Wood potentially signing?

One is a highly paid overseas prop the other a cheaper utility non quota back.

Let's wait until recruitment is finished, worth reading the comments on social media about Wood, a good majority of Rovers fans are surprised he is not been retained.

A good solid player, who will improve our squad and as it stands I'd have him over both our wingers who started against Wigan.
