Always baffles me why people get so het up about this thread. Clue is in the title, rumours. Yet when they don't cone true people get on their high horse.

If it really bothers people don't read it, it's that simple.

Have you ever read the AUP? If you find a section banning rumours let me know.

How about the bit very close to the top of the AUP, which states something on the lines of "posting libellous accusations and RUMOURS is prohibited and can result in bans"

without rumours there would be naff all left to talk about other than the cheerleader thread

Once our recruitment is completed I am proposing to close these threads until the new season starts. Just gets silly at times.

Recruitment is an ongoing thing.

Seriously though, these could be locked. The last two have been 84% Chase and 15% Prince.

Then you may end up getting lots of separate threads about different rumours. You won’t really be able to justify locking them and point to the rumours thread.

Considering we will have just completed our recruitment for 2012 and the season is months away I doubt there would be too much activity. Plus if a thread was started we could deal with them as they come along, shouldn't be too many. It might just cut down on the crap.

This is more of a chat thread at times, i'm sure we can manage for three months.

So let's just get this straight.

1. Our coach has flown to Aus to try and convince a halfback, believed to be Prince, to sign for us.
2. Gold Coast's coaches have flown out of Aus, and don't seem to think it worth flying back to convince him to stay personally.
3. Gold Coast then delegate the job of convincing him to stay to a lifelong Hull FC fan.

Along with the fact that Gold Coast have openly tried to sign a high profile scrum half in the past year as well, they don't exactly seem to be sending him the message that they're too bothered about whether he stays or goes.

It's strange how the Aussie press were saying Gentle was to meet up with Prince this weekend, when in fact Gentle is still in Hull and dosnt go until next week
