A 2 year deal seems strange to me what happens if Fitz has a great year with us and we want to keep him for a second ? The quota will reduce by a place and will not have any space to do it? That was the reason we were only offering a one year deal to Sam so he could with Fitz fight for that last place. Spoke to someone in the know today who was still not hopeful, so this comes as a bit of a surprise.
Still we have the Brother who usually gets it right with a two year deal and Wolfie last night with a one year deal, and the Mail thinking Rovers have got him! A gwilym thinking that the Crusader's have got him!
Curiouser and curiouser!
I just hope we stick to the very favourable deal we have offered and don' get into an auction.

Well in that case I just hope it is right! I am still worried about not having any oversess option for next season though, particulaly in the halfs, I am not so sure we would leave ourselves exposed like that, but perhaps we are going to!

I think its odd on that it will be Cusacks last season. Props get battered the most in the game and I doubt he'd want to carry on further than next year. |

Berrigan has to give a big season, with his knee and shoulder sorted out and better players (in theory) our best pack for years he has no excuses next season.

For the money Berro gets a replacement will not be a problem, I bet Rangi Chase was on half the amount Berro is and he performed twice as good..Like I say if he gives a big season I will be more than happy for him to sign the remaining optional year. |
