So despite Houghton's obvious hamstring issues, Balmforth still isn't in the squad against this week.
The kid needs to leave Hull ASAP. His career will fizzle out before it's even started if he doesn't get game time soon.

100%, I'd be asking to leave, even if just on loan, no future at Hull under Smith.

If I was balmforth, I’d be putting in a transfer request before the end of the day. Cator & Lane aren’t hooker and their service is poor yet he can’t get a look in

Even I'm scratching my head with Balmforth not included in squad

I’m not one for calling coaches but if Houghton goes off with a tight hammy and lane plays hooker I think it might be breaking point.

Lane gets so much stick and I think he’s been playing better but then has to play out of position. Are we going to use our whole 17 this week or just leave someone sat on the bench

I think Smith will start Nu at 7 then take Danny off and Bring Charles on 7 and move Nu to 9

Tinkering Tony prefers to keep Houghton on at all costs and will move him to 13 if needs be

No Balmforth yet again is baffling, the kid needs to leave for the sake of himself. Couldn't care less about the game when week after week we're trying the same old crap that doesn't work. I'd be happier trying something different even if it didn't quite work: 1.Litten, 6.Hoy, 7.Charles, 9.Brown, 13.Balmforth and Smith on the bench would surely give fans something to show we're attempting to switch things up but we'll just stick with the same thing again and not use the most promising young lad in the squad.

I've already cancelled magic weekend and catalans away in the summer, the clubs not bothered and just going through the motions. Saved myself £700 or so.

Balmforth not being in the squad has pretty much made my mind up that I won't be watching, because that means yet again Brown will be at 7, Houghton will be forced to play 80 minutes etc etc.

I hope we win, I'm sure our performance will be much better than against Leigh, but I just don't think I can bring myself to watch it.

I'd definitely have Martin on the wing, and either have Scott or Mcintosh at centre.

I simply cannot fathom why he has reverted back to Houghton 9, and Brown to 6.( Or right edge). Brown is far more effective in the middle.

Yeah but they'll learn what they did wrong and promise to put it right before Good Friday, and then get absolutely smashed by rovers

Wouldn't suprise us to have a right go this week and go down fighting, seems to be our season pattern.
