Yeh I agree, the senior players was outstanding, watts , mickey, houghton, superb. Surely houghton as pushed in front of mcllorum for international honours, he's been brilliant all year. Brilliant from the young lads tonight, unlike some, I'm disappointed we've lost, should of won. Great effort though, can't ask for more

That was a gutsy, passionate and skilful performance by your boys and I think you were unlucky not to get the result you deserved. Wigan underestimated and disrespected you and at the end they were cracking their pants.

With 6 teenagers in the starting 17 and Jack Logan just 20, the future's looking good and it makes the performance tonight all the more remarkable.

I also think a big factor is the young players are desperate to impress and get a career in the game, whereas some of the senior members of the squad have been too comfortable for too long Sa & Yeaman being just two examples of players who's best days are long-gone and have put in mediocre displays. Would much rather see an exciting centre with pace like Logan than the likes of those two.

Leeds fan here. I was really rooting for your side tonight....and getting genuinely excited at the end. Bluddy marvelous effort from Houghton, Minechello (sp) and Liam Watts supported by a whole host of promising young 'uns.

You should take heed from the route to success from the Leeds club of the last decade and not try to emulate the Leeds misguided attempted route to success of the 80's and 90's.

Much as I don't want to defend Sky pundits that Stevo comment related to the Bookies giving Wigan a 40+ point start. All the plaudits from Stevo, Eddie, Clarke, Carney & Wells were all for FC tonight and deservedly so. Closing comment was "well done Hull FC a moral victory tonight"

That was a real gutsy performance and regardless of the fact we couldn't quite manage the win despite losing Lineham early, Shaul with a hamstring & I think Abdul a couple of minutes from the end after a nasty tackle (legitimate) to the ribs from Flower, I am very proud in defeat tonight.

What kind of team we can put out against Hudds I don't know but hopefully the kids will grab the opportunity. I am against the joint academy and this just adds fuel to the fire after that performance, HKR must be rubbing their hands....
