I would never suggest Berro is a poor player.....however responding to a poster about him being the worlds number 1 utility player...no chance!!
I would suggest Whiting offers more on that front.
Berro is our higest paid player, yet he has failed to consistently deliver the performances which warrant his wage ulnike for instance Fitz or Orgre...My point is I do not believe he is worth what we are paying him.
His contribution to the development of Houghton is I agree priceless.

Seen as were having a Berro love in can anyone teall me a game where he was so good that you can say youve witnessed a world class performance? Or even a game where he was outstanding? I know i cant and i think people are getting slightly carried away. He had some decent games when he first got here but none were superb and this season and even last he has been very poor given he is a so called marquee player on one of the biggest salarys of any FC player. Berrigan was also supposed to be one of the 'bad apple Weir bar members' at the club that Agar was shipping out when he got rid of King and Lee, again not what youd expect from a marquee player giving his all for the club.

It's a good point you raise, Seb. I can still recall numerous performances from Jason Smith, Stephen Kearney and Richard Swain (just using semi recent examples) that were match winning performances. I struggle to recall such performances from Berro. I'm not demegrating Berro, he's a very good player who's turned in some very good performances, but he's never showed us greatness!

Back in the NRL at the time he possibly was the best utility player in the world, Im struggling to think of better but he has come over here and failed to live upto anywhere near that reputation.

As for helping Houghton progress(who has come on leaps and bounds this season), he must be doing something right in training because from what I have seen from Berrigan, he is failing to set an example on the pitch.

Don't believe anything you read in the local rag wilf. We were intrested but we can get hold of fielden and scarsbrook for around the money mason is craving for. I expect fielden and scarsbrook will be anounced soon and also a couple of wire players are on Agars radar

Mason is an option for several cubs including us depending on what happens with Berro. Fielden and LMS are options although I think we will end up missing out on LMS. Heard Wire and Bradford players are being looked at.

Tbh think the club are looking everywhere, no point in rushing straight in hence why they are keeping their options open. Also some deals can be very complicated so they don't just happen overnight. The club just have to play the waiting game and be patient.

Well whoever comes...credit has to be given to Agar who is gradually building a very very good team..it has been a waiting game for him due to contracts etc...but he certainly has a good eye for a player and is recruiting well.

I would very surprised as I've said from the start if Mason came to hull because I can't see berro going . LMS I can't see coming but possibly end up with fielden .

why whenever theres rumours on signings Hudds are always there in the mix!

I think in this case it's because they've lost their full back from this season. Hope they end up replacing him from within though as they seem to have a few exciting backs coming through the yooof at Huddersfield.

Hodgson has gone so they need a 1. Bradford may be another one. Also Beaver is after a new club for a year as he hasnt been offered a contract at Bradford.
