We did it at the Wigan play-off, I remember going in the West on a family deal.

Not that I post much on here but, out of curiosity, does the club offering the deal have to pay the difference to keep in with the spirit of the shared pot?

Eg: If the regular prices are 2 x adults = £40, 2 x kids = £20 and they get a free kids tickets family deal for £40, would the club have to pay for the "missing" £20?

Maybe they expected bigger crowds and, should the above be the case, didn't wish to foot the bill when wanting a cut of the total?

No the Clubs only share the total money taken for the games If I remember both Clubs have to agree the price for that game

TBH , I think it was a poor showing from the Hudds fans after what Davy has done for the club in the past.

May be a rethink is needed. The Rugby League usually markets quite well especially for Wembley, Grand Final and Internationals.

For starters I'd revert to a Top Six Play Off, as 7th and 8th are nowhere. I'd then market the initial games for £10 leading up to Old Trafford. Defo time for a change though if Wigan v Saints can only get 12,000.

I agree. Davy is stumping up a fortune to keep attendances 'artifically' up at the Galpharm. Make you wonder how long he will keep it up.

That was my point. We got almost the same for a game we were always going to win at a canter. Time for the RFL to recognise our potential and tell the refs to go easy on us. If nothing else we would get some major numbers through the turnstiles in the unlikely event of a play-off win. It will have been 5 years between play-off win drinks if that were to happen in 2012.

We have just said [iexactly [/ithe same thing. A strong Hull FC brings pots into the sport. There'd have been 14k easy if we had played at the KC today, to say nothing of the potential away support would put into other club's coffers. The seeming RFL downer on us simply doesn't make sense financially.

They need to get Lord Faulkner a bit more hands on at the RFL chairmen meetings. Got more about him than most of the other put together.

I'm sure our profile will be improved with the Lord's presence. It will be interesting to see how he suffers the fools at Red Hall. I bet Gary represented both Leeds and Hull on behalf of Kath

Time to go back to 6 teams in the playoffs. Hull and Rovers were nowhere near good enough for playoff spots this year.

I think it could partly be down to the fact that those clubs are used to success and don’t see these games as a big occasion they are simply used to it.

The people of Huddersfield don’t appear to be that interested in Rugby League considering how there team has performed over last few years and I’m sure they are one of the main clubs AP was talking about in his statement.

Makes you feel angry when you realise prior to AP how we’ve had the taken out of us. Massive club like ours and we had become a laughing stock.

That can't be counted surely as it was the free season pass game. I bet very few actually paid to attend.

I think people are disregarding the financial implications of these games. Christmas is getting closer (only 3 pay days left) and I'll admit that if we'd been playing this weekend I couldn't have afforded to go same as I couldn't afford to go last week.
