| That Coffee Corner interview is the most worrying to date. It was worrying when it came out but this new outbreak it just makes things so much worse than they were then. If we can't get games on, the only way to get any sort of income from our postponed home games is to now extend the season and just watch the Allam's object to any more games in October and November.

As above, if anyone hasn’t listened to AP’s coffee corner yet I’d recommend it. Interesting on many levels.'"
Might be worth the club advertising a 'no quibble' refund if the game gets postponed or cancelled. Pay on the day fans will want to wait until the last possible moment to get the tickets to make sure it's on. I have an ever growing list of postponed concerts and events and it's making me reluctant to book anything else.

| Rovers making hard work against Leigh, Albert Vete is terrible defending near the line hope we target them.
Was Impressed with the prop Adam Sidlow played brilliantly. Absolutely smashed Sims. Hardworking physical prop.

Also need to target Sims. His tackle technique is awful. He literally just sticks his arm out most of the time. Think we could quite easily draw a few penalties (or at least missed tackles) by sending a lot of traffic his way. Basically their full forward pack is pretty poor so I see us been heavily on top there, we just need to make sure we have something coming off the back of that. Hopefully Connor will be back.

Jamie Shaul mentioned that Connor was due to play against Warrington but pulled out midweek with a bit of pain from his Knee so Shaul was included in the squad in his place
On that basis hopefully should be fit with Shaul on the bench

The way things are going with the amount of games getting postponed due to Covid Griff probably has an outside chance of recovering in time
In all seriousness though I hope all at the club are ok and they are able to use the time wisely. Its about time the RFL and SL looked at changing/adapting their policies and procedures as clearly the current system in place is not working or procedures within the clubs are not being followed.

The current system stops clubs from being forced to play when numbers are seriously reduced, not unreasonable I'd have thought.
The very nature of a training environment means that there is a risk of a single person, who is showing no symptoms, spreading covid.
These guys are not in a "bubble", they go home at the end of the day.
And there are currently 6 times as many cases compared to the beginning of the season.

That's kind of the point of it though. To be above a club with your aspirations at this point of the season is a success for Rovers given the stage we are at.
Most Rovers fans are realists and don't expect the situation to continue given the gulf in resource between the 2 clubs currently.
We are building though. Its a shame that injuries have scuppered our chances of Derby victory but I still expect us to be competitive with you.

If you’d win all four the highest you could have been is fifth. That’s one place higher than you are now so your season was hardly ruined by Covid.

I'm not arguing about the system stopping clubs being forced to play when the numbers are seriously reduced but given the amount of postponements I'd question if the system itself needs adapting like others have said if a player has no symptons and gives a negative test then rather than have to isolate could they be cleared to continue?
Any player that tests positive then that's a no brainer of course.
And yes there maybe 6 times as many cases compared to the start of the season but so far in no other sport other than SL seems to have so many issues so its a fair point to question the policies and procedures as to whether they need adapting.

It would have been comfy 5th though Keith, would have been hard for anyone to overtake us for a play off place. Covid has a massive impact o our season, morethan an other team.
We have other issues aswell, but without covid we would have easily finished in the play offs, not sure we will now.

What gulf in resources?
Also we will have more out that you for the derby, a few injured, two suspended and at least 5 out with covid, let's be honest you have a had a good run with injuries and even when you had covid if you didnt lose many players for the games after like other teams.

Other sports have been affected eg England one day squad was completely changed at short notice, football friendlies are being cancelled.
Cricket seems to be coping, but not may other sports to compare with, although the NRL is in a bit of a pickle at the moment.
Anyway, this might help, but not a lot. The RFL's hands are tied.
Quote From 16 August in England, fully vaccinated adults and all under-18s contacted by NHS Test and Trace (not the app) will be advised to take one PCR test as soon as possible.
As long as that is negative, and they don't develop symptoms, they won't need to take further action.'"
It sounds like the "return to play" protocol is currently under review.

I thought we were the perennial super league under achievers though? That’s what Rovers fans always tell us. We’re not a super league powerhouse. You’re above Leeds as well yet being above Hull is what matters.
You can’t have it both ways - downplay our status when you’re below us, but elevate us when you happen to be above us?

I agree totally about the point you make, rovers have money and are about to buy their ground, and can afford to sign quality players e.g lachlan coote, shaun kenny-dowell,korbin sims and made a good bid for blake austin, who decided hull was too far away from his current base. You are also are correct that injuries may hamper rovers beating hull,

Korbin Sims? Alright for bullying half backs I suppose.
He’s the Billy Baldwin of the Sims family. Even Ashton is better than him and that’s saying something.
