Tackling is a fairly overrated asset for a full back imo. It's a bonus if they can tackle, but really how many tackles are full backs called on to make? If they are making a lot then that means the pack are getting dominated and it is largely irrelevant whether the fullback can prevent a couple of tries or not. If a guy is a poor tackler he will cost you more tries by playing at centre than full back.

In fact maybe full back will be Ben Crooks' long term position?

When he's played wing he's been awful under the bomb, & although they are both tricky positions nowadays he would get mullered by kickers like Brough & co, IMO he would just suffer.

Hes not. Hes benn chief orginiser of your team when ive seen him. Particulary vocally. He's fourth in the whole league for try assists his stats stack up n is the top offloader in the whole league.
normally id take your word but I've had the chance to see cats every home game n as a hull fan he was the best player against us there.

If Pryce had the injury record Long had before he came here I'd agree, but his record is superb and his stats this year place him in the top 5 halfbacks in the league. Given we've lacked any leadership skills at HB for a few years now, I think it's a very good signing.

Time will tell.

One big difference between Pryce & Long is that Pryce has a much less questionable off the field record - especially in recent years.

FC should have demanded a fee from Bradford for jay Pitts, we have let a contracted player walkaway from our club, I know he was not required by us but still should have pushed them for a small fee, they would have done.

I suspect the main consideration was getting his salary off the books.

Also could Bradford afford a fee?
