He has indeed Paul, Wests are missing him big time.

I can't believe the number of " fans " slagging the guy off before the ink's even dry on the contract - give him a chance ffs.

If there are "bigger names" arriving than McKinnon (who won't be cheap) it stands to reason there will be 'big name' departures.

The club is at full-cap now and that is with Phelps playing for 'buttons' and Gleeson playing on a contract which is heavily-loaded on next year's salary.

Something has to give - Fitzgibbon just for starters, probably Horne and Luaki too.

certainly puts a different view on things,compared to the shouts of ''past it,too old,not good enough,injury prone'' etc,etc.The age thing doesn't worry me at all,it's his injuries.Hamstrings are common at the best of times,but playing over here,at the start of the season when it's usually still cold does worry me .

By all accounts tried to convince him to stay didnt he and said publicly that he recons he was one unlucky not to be around the rep arena regularly too..
and for what its worth Cam is the one at FC who brought him to our attention as he is a very good friend of his!!!
When asked his opinion Fitzgibbon aparently said "class athlete, sign him quickly"

He will undergo a rigerous MOT over in Oz to fill the terms of his FC contract and should that be ok I believe we have brokered a deal here bringing to FC IMO a player who will instantly become the best FB in SL, anyone who has seen him play knows he is quality of the highest degree

You do have to worry about someone who has persistent hamstring problems like that. Still, the deal is done now so we need to give him a chance. I'd like to say that a coach lives and does by his signings but I'm not sure that applies with ours....

He is top quality and always has been, very highly regarded in Aus. Of course there are concerns about his past injuries but imo he is equally as good as Hodgson and he has gone well over here.

I think he will be a very good signing for us.

But we still don't know what's happening next week

Big gamble the signing but the comments from Wests fans have made me happier about the signing and their ones who have seen him 1st hand this season . Let's hope Moa and Ogre signed up soon aswell
