Been thinking about galea at the weekend and he would a good signing on a one year deal. Had injury problems this year but each previous year he has played Over 20 games including 27 in 2011. Be a good squad member and will help players like kent and brown develop into first team players.

Don't rise to it Biff. Time will tell whether all or some of what you've posted is accurate - but I suspect most of it will be. Starting with Holdsworth being announced as our next signing on Monday.

It's beats me why people spend hours reading a rumours thread only to bitch at people such as yourself and Big Brother who do seem to post generally reliable rumours or information.

As for the other rumoured signings - for me it all hinges on Chase. He'd make a big difference for us next year. Terrific player.

I actually think Galea could be a good signing depending on his terms and the role we are asking him to perform. I don't think we can rely on him as a starter all season but Wire have shown that providing you don't overplay veteran players they can still prove to be valuable assets. Galea is a top player and will also be excellent for the younger players.

If we manage to pull off either the Bateman or Taylor signings then that would be terrific business. I guess we'll know for sure in the next 3 or 4 weeks or so.

Said plenty of times but which it just imo. Chase won't get his visa, Bateman will stay a Bull and Taylor will sign for us, but not for next season.

First and foremost Galea is a very good player who runs superb lines and scores regularly,only time will tell us if he will be able to play enough games to justify signing him,the dobbins wanted to keep him but on a reduced wage.
I was told he earned 135k this season and was offered 85k for next so if we sign him then logically it will be somewhere in the middle

Heard a good/funny rumour at the game last night.
Brough to Saints, Dobson to Hudds and we've offered 50k and Seymour for Taylor.

The ones at the game just seem to have a little magic to them!

If Cookie was right then he was offered nothing by KR and had no other offers hence his "forced" retirement. In those circumstances if we went in with a modest offer and it suited Galea not to have all of the upheaval of moving home this year etc then I could see it making sense for both parties. Especially if there was a clause which said " if you get a better offer in Oz you're free to go any time" as it would buy him more time to sort his future.
