Good idea.

Can anyone attending try to put something down in writing, to bring with them, about what they actually want the direction of the group to be and what they want to get out of it. I'd rather it didn't just turn into a slagging the club off session (we do that at the games and on here enough as it is



).

Sad to say, that where it all falls down tbh.

If we can make it into a fundraising organisation as well it may help to keep the interest going when things aren't so bad? Perhaps sponsering the youth system in some way might help to keep the interest in the group? Just an idea

Other ISAs do this very thing, even contributing to player sponsorships or the like.

Just to be clear, does this include Standee?

Before the big Charleston meeting in 1999, Steve and Vince arranged a private meeting of about a dozen fans who set some plans in motion. That was pretty much where HISA was born.

What you don't want is a large number of people turning up with no agenda and no organisation.

Apologies if it's already been mentioned (i'm running short on time at the mo so can't read all posts on this). Many ISA's do a lot of 'fun' and 'interesting' things with the club obviously been the centre of these.

The new ISA, although should raise the debate around the current issues at thye club, also should (given time to settle etc) get involved in the fun aspect of being a supporter association.

unfortunatly as someone said in a previous post, basically HISA is being set up as a witch hunt. Thats all its ever going to be, id guess ?

Exactly right, it should help to keep the organisation running when (as we should hope becomes the norm) we dont having anything to moan about

Seriously though if ran properly and not just about sitting in the pub moaning I'd be happy to donate as much time of mine as I can logistically in between work and living in West Yorkshire.

i dunno? ive not seen many posts reguarding fun days, or supporting the club or doing things alongside the club. or interacting fans with the club? But then again im not sure what HISA do so i wouldnt know

I am willing to come down and have a listen to the plans people want put forward.
There is no point in organising the meeting without at least a vague set of actions and targets we would like to achieve.

Probably best not to make stupid statements about it then.

There are more pressing matters at the moment then fun days.

This isn't HISA, it will be a totally new organisation and since we haven't even had a single meeting yet how can we have decided what the aims will be?

That's the sort of mentality that will get the club putting their walls up straight away, this proposed group isn't going to be able to change the way the club is ran, it's aim should be to bring the club and the fans closer together.

Well the first step is to ditch using the name HISA (which has already been suggested).

I'm an Arsenal fan (for my sins) and often visit the Emerites...well 6 or 7 times a year. I always go into one of the local pubs their and the supports association always have something on the go...their name is Red Action....and on plenty of occassions they have 'challenged' the club on certain issues. They are still recognised by the club and have many past players coming along on event nights etc.

So it wasn't you who said it was being set up as a witch hunt then?

And to put something into the club. They'll be far more receptive to a new group if they are raising money for youth development/sponsorship etc, than if they're there solely as a pressure group.
