One disciplinary, fair enough, as you say every one makes mistakes. Two would suggest he'd not learnt from the first one, and to have a 3rd reeks of either a) not caring or b) taking the , both of which mean that his "apologies" count for the squareroot of feckall as far as I am concerned.

If he was truely apologetic he'd have not got himself dropped for the playoff game last year, or the Cas game this year.

He has had too many chances and the club cannot be held to ransom. The rest of the dressing room would surely be p*ssed off with him. Richard Horne comes in a for a lot of criticism on here but last season he was patched up and put on the pitch when he really should have been sat in the stands. Tansey was sat in the stands because of his own ill discipline and stupidity and put undue pressure on his coach and teammates. It's easy to make excuses saying that he's young, etc. but at the end of the day he is a fully grown adult who is very well rewarded for what he does.

I presume the delay is due to the club ensuring that due process is carried out; nowadays terminating somebodies contract is not straightforward. Any mistake on the employers part would be deemed as unfair dismissal which can be expensive.

If it had been a first offence then people would give him a quite rightly a chance but when he has had 12 months since his first incident to sort himself out and he obviously hasnt leart from the first chance or second chance people quite rightly feel a little p!$$ed of with him. To be up on a 3rd disciplinary 5 months after the last just takes the biscuit so close to the season opener too plus been thin on the ground player wise.
If reports of him been off his face again in Leeds over the weekend are true then he really is sorry isnt he? Unless he is sorry for himself so his apologies in essence mean nothing.

Oh and for the record yes I have sinned as you put it but I had the sense to learn from it and move on not repeat the trick like most decent people who value their living whether they enjoy it or not.

Gazza is a very good comparison to be fair, because of a lack of help and guidance he became a serial visitor to AC clinics and still is!! a genius now burnt out with a lifeclock ticking ten times faster than most folk!!!
what everyone is conviniently forgetting is that i most certainly do not agree with his actions or his way of life AND knowing his circle of friends i without doubt want to bang his head against the wall however that does not take away the fact that if he has a problem with drink he needs help not bagging because bagging will make that issue worse by the day .

He was with the Chiefs today with his legal people for e meeting, like i said earlier I do not condone his actions at all but feel sorry for the lad , obviously a minority but i wonder how others would feel if they had folk beying for blood to have them sacked like some on here ... if he gets the sack then he has deserved it and been his own worst enemy but i just see a lot in the kid worth salvaging IMO.

Spouting tripe about 'Let's have a stoning' is massively missing the point. Fact is most if not all fans would have loved him to have learnt his lesson after the first misdemeanor. Most would agree that he deserved that second chance which he got. In the biggest game of last season he was unavailable for the same reason. He was given a third chance despite having totally disrupted the preparation of the team for the game that was the target game for the whole season. Given that third chance he's at it again before the next competitive game has even kicked off. More disruption. Not acceptable. If he turned up ed as a machine operator in a factory he'd be a liability just the same.

It doesn't really matter what his issues are. Hull FC can't operate like this wondering if he'll be available from one week to the next. I hope he solves his problems whatever they might be but there's no room to carry a player who three times has taken the out of the team, fans and club.

Tansey stuck out like a sore thumb on Saturday, in a bar full of students in fancy dress that's saying something. I was embarrassed when the lads I was with pointed him out.

Plenty of young lads, like myself, go out at weekends but still know when enough is enough, and don't get completely off their tits like Jordan did.

Anyone else would keep their head down for abit. One of the other disciplinaries was because he'd not washed the clubs stamp off his hand before turning up to training the following morning, which was noticed after he said he'd not been out. Obviously not the smartest of blokes.

I think he was alluding to the fact that someone in trouble for drinking would be careful not to be going out in the public domain and having a skinful. The wedding was fine but to go around the town after is just rubbing it in.

Course he can, but someone who's not exactly flavour of the month with his employer for getting trashed should really think about his behaviour at the wedding. If he'd been on medication that said don't drink would it have been acceptable for him to do so?
