According to Hull FC news on twitter, Adam Pearson told guests at HullFC150 event that Carney has signed for Salford.

The rumour has been floating about on our board for a while, but this is the most concrete bit of news so far.

Was anyone at the event to confirm this?

On the one hand I think it's a shame that we've missed out on him as he would be a quality addition to our wing. On the other, it's probably for the best that we have missed out on him regarding team harmony. It sounded on Tuesday night listening to Blunderside that AP and Radders wanted him but they hinted that there was an issue amongst the players (certainly adding fuel to the vote rumour). The last thing we need is a new player coming in and causing factions in the camp.

Whilst we don't hear anything we'd like to think that it could be still on and nothing is set in stone until its announced but weighing up what has been said and all the angles I would think that Salford is the likely destination.

It'll be nice to put this one to bed. But where would we be without a good rumour, eh?
