I do see your points though & I agree with you but I just think them going full time for 2016 will do them good to have a preseason & get used to been with the squad with no real pressure on them it will be good for all involved, Carlos T won't be on a big wage & leons coming to an end, so we will have good balance & strength, & these lads picking up experience, because it's a big step up from 19s to first team. The competition is very healthy & we don't want other clubs exploiting these lads & knocking their confidence whilst taking 2 points from us.

Personally i think the future of our club is Sneyd but he needs an experienced head along side him (for at least the next couple of years imo) and not another rookie but we do need an understudy ready to step in in the event of injury - whether this is HTW or Dean is up to the club but imo we only need the one and in the long term the rookie will then step up to full time first grade in two to three years time IF they show they have the ability at first team level and once the experienced head moves on or retires. We dont need a young kid from Oz - we need an experienced head like Sandow who all the half backs at the club can learn from

I don't like the idea of SL as a development tool. For me players should earn opportunities, rather than have them manufactured at the elite level. The problem, I'd admit, is that there aren't sufficient actual development opportunities, below the elite level.
