I'm a fan of Sharp's and think he can be a success. Would be very dissapointed to see him replaced.

I think sharp's been made the scapegoat for our poor right hand defence... there's only tickle (if he plays second row and not 3rd prop) who's any good defensively

Same here, I think under new coaching he could shine.

Broughton's younger and less experienced than Sharp. He's got better offensive and defensive stats , is way quicker , has at least half a brain which is significantly more than Sharp AND he's JJB's half brother so it'll be a family friendly move once JJB is announced.
Seriously though Broughton has that quality that no one can teach , pace. Was electric at the Headingly 9's. He'd definitely be worth a go.

I've seen Broughton's pace and he's clearly one of the fastest in SL. I haven't seen Sharp's alleged pace yet , indeed he's been run down on occasions. But yes I think Broughton is significantly faster than Sharp.

Im not Will sharp's biggest fan and think broughton is marginally better but would rather we use the cap on what is needed. A forward or two is needed at this time , then our squad would look alot more balanced .

I agree with you, at the time I'd rather have kept Broughton than sign Sharp, and in hindsight that would have been the correct decision, but the upgrade wouldn't be significant enough to make it a worthwhile use of cap space now, unless we somehow managed to offload Sharp.

I'm not averse to seeing how Sharp gets on next year with some proper coaching and a proper (albeit very average) centre inside him.

i`ll just be glad for the club to add an additional forward to the squad and announce that the squad is complete so we can concentrate on the build up to next season, i can`t believe that Sika Manu is oput of contract and we havn`t made a move for him, he would cover both front & 2nd row and would be the ideal addition to our squad in my opinion.

No , But neither is Tony Martin. Murphy would have been a good long term investment for the club. but not a signing we need right now.

I've mentioned this on the Tony Martin thread.

Martin is for a season and at 33 will most likely be his last contract. Whereas Aaron Murphy, is what 23? Why would he want to sign a one year deal when he has his future to think about? He would of wanted atleast a two year deal minimum. We will bring a top centre for the 2013 season.

Or maybe, Ben Crooks will be ready for 2013.
