Yes he should, and I hope we see the best of him in the next 3 years. But the fact is for the past 2 or 3 seasons Kirk has been nothing more than average, which makes the offer of a 3 year contract very surprising and very risky.

possibly a kneejerk reaction from agar and rule if they think other clubs were interested???-but saying that who else would be available who's english??

Good re-signing for Hull and Yeaman, no one better available. Still a good centre, give him the right service and he'll be back to his 2006 best.

It's not the service that he get's that's been a problem. It's the service he gives to his winger.

GB international centre coming in to what should be his best years, sounds good but............

Average centre IMO, not nearly clever/creative enough to be a top centre. Would have liked to have seen him develop in to a second rower, far more strength then skill and a very strong defender.

I am happy with this utterly. Sure he maybe has not been amazing, but he wears his heart on his sleeve, is English, Fc academy and wants to play for fc. Wish some of the other cretins in our side could say the same thing.

He is clearly not someone who we should be offloading and replacing, we have much bigger fish to fry.

Very happy he's staying, no one better available IMO. Maybe a year too much but i suppose given the quota and taking "other" interested parties into account i can see the reasoning.

Will get a testimonial year, so hopefully this was negotiated into a reduced basic salary.
