It's a results game and for me I didn't have to 'tolerate' anything in the first 5 games because we won em all!!

there has to be a happy medium somewhere, and with no relegation you'd hope that teams would favour attractive rugby more than grinding results out.

at the moment we are in danger of losing a lot of passholders for next season, as we simply aren't good to watch and haven't been consistently since 2006 (apart from that run at the end of 2007) people gave them another chance after 2008 but little has improved, and before anyone says we don't need these passholders to renew, they are a vital source of income for the club, not just in the passes themselves but also merchandise sales.

People were saying pass sales would fall this season and I'm fairly sure people were saying the same for 2008.

Wire ground out results without bothering about performance and look what happened there, they've stopped scraping wins and get trounced by good sides. We're heading the same way. Performance and results should go hand in hand.

i think it was the last chance saloon for a lot of people, i myself aren't really enjoying games if I'm being honest because that belief that we can become a top side has gone. More importantly we have a lot of junior passholders (something like 3,000 i believe) kids are very impressionable, and i can't imagine they are impressed with our recent 5 drives a kick displays.

they've also lost some support, been getting 7,000 most weeks, whereas it was 11/12,000 before, because the hype has gone...the same will happen at our club i fear.

Me too. And by performances I don't necessarily mean playing fast-flowing, entertaining rugby all the time (although that would be nice).

Watching a side that looked 100% committed, 100% of the time would be a great start as far as I'm concerned. The champagne rugby can come after the attitude problems have been sorted.

Jeez we've had some poor sides over the years but generally they have given 100% and they have had my full support because of that.

Today we were beaten by a bigger, stronger, faster team. We need players who are bigger and faster than the current ones and it'll take a few years recruitment to sort it out. Crocker and Lauaki, were they ever to arrive, would be a step in the right direction. Plenty of commitment today but lost the physical battle.

What will you do if we win the next 10 matches? Will you
(a) believe that Agar has been reading your threads and changed tactics accordingly,
(b) think let's get rid of the board, or bord, anyway because Kath's married to someone who runs another club,
(c) start supporting Rovers because they hold the jinx over us in the Derbys,
(d) tear your season pass up because we should have won all the ones we've lost anyway if we'd put some effort in,
(e) calll for the sacking of the Board because they haven't signed any world-class players on long-term deals (like Berrigan, Crocker or Lauaki)
(f) chuck yourself under a bus because you can't think of anything to Sam Moa about
(g) Stop agreeing with that nazi Rovers troll - you know who you are

It was only a few weeks ago (after winning our first 5 matches) fans were adamant Hull were far ‘bigger and stronger’ then the season before. Now, after a losing streak Hull are ‘too small and not strong enough’.

The squad we have is capable of competing with anyone, it’s getting them motivated/organised enough to do it that seems to be the problem.

With Kingy (eye) and Tickle (arm) in Hospital last night it looks like we will struggle to dominate anyone for a while at least!

It'll be interesting to hear what Agar & Rule now say as they kept saying were not doing so bad as we were 5 from 7 but now we are 5 from 9 in SL and 5 from 10 in all.
In all honesty I can not see where the next 2pts will come from. When listening to Agar's aftermatch comments he speaks with no passion at all and always sounds down beat and that was even when we were 5 from 5. He also keeps saying the same thing over and over again about silly errors and poor decision making, but it doesn't seem to be improving so what are they doing at training?

I am at a loss as to where all the intensity has gone from the first 5 games when the team played as a team and closed down the 10M from the oppositions POB etc. We are now back to the same dross we witnessed under PS where players waited for the opposition and for somebody else to do something. Think we are in for another long hard season of awful rugby.

If you went yesterday you will have seen how Saints, across the pitch, had bigger and stronger players than we did. No mystery - that was a fact. Puletua/Faasavalu/Pryce to name but 3. That's why they regularly broke us up the middle with relative ease. I am not bagging Hull whatsoever - Jesus Christ there's plenty of people on here who do that - we were playing the best team in the league, however should we aspire to become like them we need bigger and stronger players. Our players are middle tier SL which will match or beat other similar squads as per the first 5 games. With good recruitment (Crocker and Lauaki case in point) we can get there but it will take time.

Got to disagree with you to Wilf, Kingy has been average at best and Tickle has been poor for the last 5 games, get Radders and Manu 2nd Row Washy at 13, Reardon at fullback and Thorman at 7.

Saints have world class in every position. How they do that is anyones guess !!!
