According to his brother Sam who currently plays in the NRL with Souths, Luke is keen to make the move to Australia and has already been targeted by Wests Tigers who seem to have taken a liking to English players.

Cant defend or catch, leave him in Union.
Phelps would be more overseas option, would rather have Tansey at FB.
Be happy to sign Fielden, would depend on if he was prepared to take a wage cut, he might have too as I doubt any teams will pay him what he has been on at Wigan. |

Good player but gives away too many penalties.
Struggle to understand the quota rules, so would he be on the quota?
Didnt Quins have to release Rinaldi because he was french and on the quota. |

A massive no to Phelps, Whiting and Tansey are far better.
I would take Fielden, has improved in the 12 months and seems to be much more consistent these days.
Fitz I think will stay and Tickle will leave.

So if we sign Fielden that is us covered in the prop department, Fielden, Dowes, Moa and O Meley with Radford as backup.
Backrow we are Ok with Fitz, Manu, Lauaki, Burnett, Whiting and Washbrook, also Cunningham and Kent.
Hooker Ok.
Backs Yeaman, Briscoe x2, Turner, Lyne and Tansey so far.
So we need to sign 2 more backs (if Calderwood and Hall leave) also a backup halfback would be nice. |
