I'd be very happy with Aspinwall getting a new deal. The guy's played his heart out this year. Another Rich Whiting type grafter in the Tony Grimaldi/Adam Maher mould. Nothing showy, just gets the job done. Besides, why take out a great player and replace with one who might not gel?

Just can't see how we ever had 6 players 'signed and sealed' all those months ago ?
Large amount of U turns & new targets recently.
Really hope the 6 turn out not to be fictional.
Just wondering if Adam is now aware of the fickleness of Rugby players and their agents, strongly suspect some 'signings' have not happened.
How many players would we have IF the 6 existed, plus the two halves and further prop plus Ellis & Arundel etc...
I still have faith but really hope the 6 include a couple to get excited about - Kevin Locke & big Earl would do for me. Add the elusive scrum half & that is definitely a top 4 squad.

Exactly the same thing crossed my mind today, did we really have all 6 "in the bag" as AP stated months ago? I suppose we need to see who else is announced. Maybe Arundle and Ellis were included in the 6 as was debated back then.
Most of us thought, by the way it was written that it was 6 to be announced on top of the 2 we knew about. |

Yeah I'm not convinced either. I have faith in Pearson but believe he's been a bit naive with regards getting the signings the club wanted. I think he thought he could just wave his checkbook about and they'd sign - not that easy in reality. |

It annoys me that people think Bateman and Whitehead are just gunna come to Hull because we have cash maybe they want to stay at Bradford mainly in Whiteheads case but for me Bateman will end up at Wire or in Australia. I'd be happy with Arundel, Ellis, Crookes, Holdsworth, Galea, McDonnell and AN Other and the retention of Houghton, O'Meley and Briscoe plus we also got Pitts and Watts in last season too.
