With Agar in charge I think we will not have a big clearout and most OOC players will get a one year extention (Thorman included).

Lee, Houghton, Hodgson all of which imo are Hookers. Lee isn't a 7 or 13 or anything other than a hooker, Hodgson isn't big enough to be a second row or anything other than a hooker and Houghton for me so far is the best prospect of the 3 imo. I'd definately after a season of been closely monitored get shot of 1 of them, possibly 2 dependant on how they progress.

Hall should be closely monitored and if his D and confidence doesn't improve drastically then i think despite his attacking flair should also go.

Radford should go after 2010 too.

Totally agree but under Agar, most of the above will still be here next season. Any coach that has been closely involved with our squad for the past two or three seasons should know exactly who should go and what we need to come in, without any shadow of a doubt.

Even if you were to take the many diverse opinions on here, you would actually come out with a general consensus that a lot of the above should go and that we need to bring in a top scrum half, a couple of big forwards, a centre and possibly a full back, depending on R Horne's final position in the team.

If it is so blatantly obvious to a general melee of average fans, why do we continue down the road of giving out contracts to players that we don't need or that have proved themselves to be simply not good enough season after season???

Exactly, it's as though they would sooner be the average run of the mill club as opposed to giving certain players the elbow. Is it they just don't want to hurt certain players feeling or what.

I know a lot of people will disagree with this one but i'd maybe even look at getting shot of Dowes after the 2010 season too and totally refresh the pack.

Build the pack around Moa, Maloney, Burnett, Whiting/Washbrook.

I reckon if we do some major tweaks this season Horne to Fullback, new 6 and 7 etc, and start clearing some of the dead wood. Continue the process at the end of the 2010 season, we could be there or there abouts come 2011, back up at the top and serious contenders for all major silverware.

I'm sure the coaching staff etc are aware of this, it's either they just aren't asking if they can clear the decks and start to rebuild, or they are but Kath etc just aren't willing to let them do it.

She's all for recouping money etc surely as dumb as she at times seems to be, she can see that the more successful the club the more money the club will genrated. Look how much it generates now with a below par team, the scope is massive with a successful team.

Think it's a bit of both TBH. He's certainly out of his depth as head coach at this level, and as assistant over the last few season he will have been close to the players for a long time.

It was always a bad plan to promote an assistant to not one but two failed coaches when it was obvious that big changes were needed.

I don't know why so many people are so keen to get rid of Thackray, for me he's been our best impact prop and certainly the only forward who's looked capable of breaking a tackle.
