Well why not lineham on wing with Jason Crooks his centre. The right hand side possiboy quickest in super league

Cos crookes biggest weakness is his passing game hence becoming a winger and is a handy finisher in a tight spot but not so likely to make a break out of nothing

Should be considered an option in my view.

Anybody can learn how to pass a ball. But it's always a good option to have. I'd like to see how JC played at centre with Lineham on the wing.

Who would you drop to put Crookes at Centre.

Heres a novel idea, we have three centres (+Whiting) and three wingers, why don't we just play the best two out of the three. Any slight injuries and we have cover.

My own view is Lineham will be create but Crookes has impressed me so far, especially under the high ball. We have the luxury of bringing in Lineham gradually before he becomes full time next season.

I hope we are in negotiations with Tom to extend his contract because this kid has the world at his feet. Has the lot and isn't frightened of anybody.

Potential to be better than Briscoe IMO, Tom B can do some magical things at times, but think Lineham will bea more consistent player.

Him and Green are the two highlights fir me this season.

Briscoe to centre could be an option. He doesn't seem to be doing much on the wing at the moment, but there's obvious quality there so maybe a change could bring out the best in him?

As it stands, we're going to have to keep him on the wing until Crookes returns regardless (as there's no one else). Ben Crooks should keep centre spot until Jason is back. Arundel not deserving his spot at the moment.

Lineham needs to be signed up to a long term deal ASAP.

But until we get a decent scrum half, none of this really matters.

About 5 years ago, yup. Then realised he's an international winger.

And he struggles to pass without looking uncomfortable just like Yeaman.

I would drop Briscoe for Friday and play Crookes and Lineham on the wings. Briscoe looked totally disinterested/distracted. I think his mind is elsewhere. The shock of being dropped may help him re-focus for the rest of the season.

Most sensible post of the day. Last season he would have chased and tackled after 90 metre interception!!!

People suggesting that Briscoe is uninterested need to give their heads a bang. As for the interception chase, take a look at the relative positions and directions of travel of the two players.

Lineham's going to be great for us but he's still only played a handful of first team games. A minor point but he needs to learn a bit more about judging when to go for it and when to cut back inside to avoid going into touch. I seem to remember an interview with him in the sports bar before a game last year where he said he hasn't been playing rugby that long. We can bring him on gradually this year while we have two very good first choice wingers in Briscoe and Jason Crookes. He can train full time (its only his second year), be with the team and watch the matches with the first team coaches while filling in when needed to get ready to be a first choice winger next year.

Lineham is a classic head down “bull in a china shop” winger at the moment (a bit like Eastwood and Charnley were when they first came along), full of pace and power. Hopefully with the right coaching and experience he will learn the subtleties of wing play which will make him one of the games very best, it’s going to be entertaining watching him evolve.

I personally don't think he stood much chance. Paddy Flynn is a very fast player.

TBH Briscoe did look like he was struglling at one point in the game,maybe took a knock?

Thought Lineham looked a real handful on Saturday (as he did in the corresponding fixture last season). Briscoe was probably better policed, but didn't live up to his billing, but was only picking up scraps anyway I suppose. Crookes must be playing well if there is even a debate about him coming back to replace Lineham! I think Crookes played centre for us when he was on loan in the Championship, didn't play many games but was fast powerful and aggressive!
