It's a small ground with the fans close to the pitch, I think Ganson may have a good idea what the Hull fans think of him after the 80 mins.

I reckon we'll either get everything or nothing from him on Sunday, in a game with either 40 penalties or 4 penalties. He's just that sort of referee.

Sunday is our 17th game of the season and it'll be the fifth time Ganson has been the referee. Current record is W1 D1 L2.

Actually out of the seventeen games, either Ganson or Alibert will have been the referee nine times.

So he's officiated over 29% of our games, but has overseen 50% of the points we have dropped.

Obviously means nothing but interesting all the same!

My first thought was also about the disproportionate amount of times the same refs take charge of games with the same teams. There are 7 refs, right? Surely it can be worked better so that there is a more even spread, no team should be having the same ref for more than a 1/4 of their games IMO, and certainly not half of their games being ruled over by only 2 refs.

Also, I don't entirely agree with Referees being given the return fixtures of match-ups they've already officiated in the same season.

Thaler 1 (W1)
Thomason 1 (W1)

Obviously there's an understandable anomaly with Bentham, but IMO that should not be so skewed with 2 refs taking charge of so many of our games. And it's not a pleading the victim thing, presumably there are some sides who have had Thaler and Thomason too often too (Rovers for Thaler?). It shouldn't be that way.

Seems barmy to me that in sixteen SL games we get Ganson five times but Thaler only once.

What I would like to see happen, would be for all the Hull supporters who go to Wakefield, prior the match starting, is to ignor Steve Ganson. Just 'blank him' when he does his warm up in front of the Hull fans. It is almost always in front of us Hull fans. He seems to enjoy himself when Hull fans shout @ him & name-call him etc whilst he is doing his warming up exercises. By showing no interest in him @ this point we will not have 'sunk to his level' & given him any satisfaction.

I know that it is a big hope for all Hull supporters to 'blank' him but it would be nice if did happen.

If you want to wind a clubs supporters up straight after a embarrassing miss by your officials in a current season, is to appoint the scraot on the second opportunity.

The 1st match afterwards would be to blatant, appointing Ganson on the next home match could actually beat this one.
