Drives it in like he means it, makes every tackle like its a statement. Just oozes quality.

Fitzy was insiprational tonight. Had he not have been on that pitch tonight, I seriously doubt we would have won. MOS contender? Without a doubt.

We now have a base for a top end pack, Lets not forget Dowes tonight who played his best match of the season

Dowes has got better match on match for me tbf.....

correct and for what its worth was very upset by the constant digging by some so called fans wanting him to be slung out of the club , another who proved them all wrong.
I wonder if his new contract is ready yet??

Was great in both halves, his defence in the first half at times was nothing short of superb, really tried to drag us back into the match.

Hopefull that deal will be signed soon

Dowes has been average now for 18 months minimum. He has looked like the Dowes of old for the last few weeks. Should it take the fact that his contract is expiring to motivate him to prove himself?

thinking the same thing BDT, and that p*sses me off big time, why is it that when a players contract is up for renewal, an average plodder turns into a great player?? why hasnt he been putting in performances like this for the last couple of seasons?? couldnt give a shoite if the fans comments has upset him, its maybe done him a favour, because mr plodder has certainly altered his game, lets hope he continues this vein of form after he has a new contract!!

So was Fozzard. Soon as he came on, Fitz was right in his face.

Its got nothing to do with the contract situation and everything to do with the firmer grounds.

IMO Fitz and Ogre raising the bar for the pack and leading by example is also a reason. Manu and Tickle have also raised their game this season.

I was actually going to add that the fact we have a big pack sharing the workload helps as the other team are more tired. Have to agree about Manu and Tickle as well. Tickles front on defence is just brutal.

Tickle has always been a big lad but last night his frame just looked huge! Must of been seriously hitting the weights this season.
Will be a big loss if he leaves, back to his 2007 best IMO.

It hasn't but your being selective in your recollection of his performances in that time. If you dont think firmer grounds benefit a prop that relies on late footwork before the collision your not paying enough attention in games.
