i wonder if agar could look into the possibility of bringing someone in on loan for a month.i know it's difficult to find someone at this stage,and they would probably be a sl reserve,or from the championship(and even championship teams would be reluctant!!).surely there is a 7 floating around super league not getting a go at their present club?????-i just can't see the point of trying to make others play at 7 when they look totally uncomfortable in this role

If we'd kept Webster as back up then his wage would be money we couldn't spend on a younger prospect as and when one comes along. At his age and stage of career I think it was fair enough to let him go.

I know that, but the question wasn't whether we should have signed him in the first place it was whether we should have kept him once we had him.

He's at Hudds for exactly the reason we want him. He's being groomed as their future half back, however still playing at Whitehaven. They won't be letting him go.

We got rid of him pretty much as soon as we got him. As others have pointed out, it was just a propaganda move to score points against Rovers and it backfired. I don't think he was worth keeping, even in hindsight. Too old and not really all that good.

I do wish people would stop trying to second-guess what happened in the past based on where we are and what we know now. Not many were screaming for Webster to be kept at the time IIRC.

Kosh, I know what you mean re Webster I just think anyone other than Horne is better there but then I suppose my problem is with Agar for putting him there... God I hope Fridays better than Sunday!! I'm starting to think I might get the feeling like the last two years where it's just like visiting the dentist as you enter the turnstiles!!
