Don’t understand the fascination in getting Clifford back, went home at the earliest opportunity and it rarely works out better the second time around.

I seriously doubt Clifford would come to us , if he wants to play in Sl, he’d have a fair fee suitors that are a better proposition .

Agree about Clifford. Thought his attitude was poor when he decided he was returning to Oz.

When he (Schustet) first started in the five eight role he was brilliant and had the physicality to play back row , starting quite a few games in that role . He isn’t quite imposing enough to guide a team around and dictate the game like all the best halfbacks do and ,I fear he will never do that, unless he really and consciously applies himself and finds that inner steel that they need ,as he drifted and became anonymous under Hasler . There is a talent there no doubt and his size should help him , he is nearly a copy of Jordan Abdul in that respect isn’t he but seems too young for the responsibility of a major halfback . Hope he gets a deal and lives up to his potential as when he is on it he can be very good indeed.

Josh Schuster is probably the type of player we should be avoiding, talent yes fuel on fire... Probably.

Schuster was discussed on NRL360 this week.
Gordon Tallis had watched him in reserve grade 2 weeks ago & said he was so unfit he couldn't get back the ten !! Manly have moved heaven & earth to get him fit but it seems he just cant be d - £400,000 a season he was on !!
Gordy doubtful any other NRL club will take him on, other than train & trial. Hardly going to be motivated having picked up a big severance package.

Schuster won't happen, not the right signing for us the way he is right now.

I'd try and bring in 4 players a , halfback, backrow and a loose forward for this season.

Can rule out Iro as he’s finally getting a crack at first grade, also think Kini will fancy his chances of getting game time at the Titans, he’s a lot younger than most that come over too. But like you say, them names have been plucked out of thin air.

Josh Ralph did well for Wales in the world cup and had a pretty good season for Toulouse last year, wouldn't be a bad option

If we can pounce on someone like Allick I would but I’d also like to see us be patient and let players like Balmforth, Charles, Jebson get 10-15 games in them. It’s tough as we want to be putting them in a solid environment but now’s a chance for them to actually lay down a shot at a top 17 shirt next year.

We are crying out for leaders in the playing group, that needs to be the clubs priority, someone who can bring out that extra 5% on the field from the players and not allow us to just crumble.

Not sure what he actually does as President of Leeds, but it may be that being a majority shareholder at a club is a big enough lure to completely take him out of Leeds.

Has he got any financial input in Leeds Rhinos? His title of President sounds a bit honorific.
