I love my club, and that means taking the rough with the smooth. Sport isn't all roses, hell we know that more than anyone.

I have never once left a game early, and I won't because at the end of the game I think if you are still there then the players might, just might understand more than if you're not there. "These guys are still here, thick and thin".

We have our early walkers, all clubs do. Just imagine how those players felt clapping the same empty seats and the same backs of the stewards. Because if they really play for the badge, really wanted to win that game yesterday, then they would have been hurting already.

So you saw two things battered in the same day.

Because of family comittments I couldn`t make the game,but I did walk away from the telly with 10 mins to go and put the kettle on.Losing is one thing,but putting in a shambolic display is another.
Losing to Rovers does hurt,but not half as much as that "performance" did.

I stayed until the bitter end as I usually do, but I drew the line at applauding the team off. I usually wait until the team has passed South stand on the lap of "honour" but decided to forego that pleasure yesterday.

I wouldn't blame anyone for leaving early yesterday after such a wretched dismal soul destroying afternoon. Respect is earnt the hard way and having paid their entrance fee, the punter has the right to up sticks at anytime. If you was watching a movie or seeing a live band and you thought the evening stank the place out, you wouldn't sit there just for the hell of it, so why should sport be any different.

One final thought though, I will never understand people who leave 5 minutes from the end when a game is still in the balance. We could clearly see people walking out of Headingly on Thursday night a few minutes from the end of the Bradford game. I've witnessed this at our ground as well and I will never fathom out the reasoning behind it. Please don't give me the old "it's to beat the traffic" routine as that is the lamest excuse in the book.

Absolutely, and I wouldn't want it any other way. As long as banter doesn't descend into personal abuse then long may it continue. Today is Rovers' day and at another time it will be ours. My personal preference would be us and you at 1 and 2 but that aint gonna happen any time soon. For the time being we'll both have to made do with getting into the top 8.
