If we free up cap space and sign anyone but a half back that shows Agar as clueless. Westerman isn't the answer and on his showing last year neither is Tansey, he is our fullback and the club keep telling us that.

Phelps is a very useful player indeed and looked a world beater recently however he has been unlucky with injuries but then all players go through that at some point dont they or are ogre, whiting etc useless too.

I really can't see us releasing Berro unless we have an excellent HB lined up to sign with the spare cap space. Why would he come off quota only to decide to go home?! it doesn't make sense and if you ask me it's just a case of bored fans & reporters in the off-season

i wouldn't be surprised if we have a little bit of space left on the cap and we are trying to free some more up with loaning out Burnett and seeing who else we can sign i.e. Sammut or Rovelli...but no takers as of yet...

He is useful as he can cover a few positions and yes, he was playing well for Wigan but there team was on a whole at the time. His previous form to that was poor, error and injury prone, Im sure he will fit in well lol

If thats the case then we should wait, its seems players often become available during the season, Dobson and Head immediately spring to mind.

i would still like to see danny nicklas given his chance as cover for 6/7.if he's good enough for a pro contract,then he's good enough to cover long and horne.

I have never really liked Phelps but the truth is he did a good job for Wigan and is useful as he can cover the 1-5. Would rather see a hooker or halfback though.

Wigan fans seem to rate him and my bro-in-law does Paul.

He played really well for them and hardly put a foot wrong.

I would stay away from phelps.Lets hope we are enquiring with souths about players being available and lets hope we do like saints do with players and loan them for the year. Then decide what to do with them a full year as fist choice would burnett the world of good as he does have a fair bit of talent IMO

According to the Cas board it's unknown when Owen would be match-fit again, he's still having to recover from that leg break early last season. Wouldn't be a good signing in my eyes until he was proven to be over his injury.

Owen signed a new contract a few months ago, he won't be going anywhere.

Think thats why cas managed to get him to sign a new deal. he would been off If he had stayed fitted all year or even returned last season. I hope he makes a full recover as he seems to have that like bit of extra class. I wouldn't of minded a fit owen here.
