Brown has had little if no influence on this team, he was at 9 at Fartown in the cup, we were annihilated, and he misses to many tackles, he won’t be missed, possibly the most overrated overseas hooker we’ve ever had, Get Balmforth and Hodgson alongside Danny to see this season out.

So we could have potentially 4 overseas spots for Hoy, Brown, Sao and Carlos.

Not sure about 4, but should certainly be 2, with Hoy and Brown (although i'd keep Brown).

Id like to see the following positions brought in
Hoy - Halfback (O Sullivan or Sexton)
Brown - Backrow (Allick)
Carlos - centre
Sao - Loose forward

Add in a domestic prop (bullock) and backrower (Royle)

Can't see Okunbor being here much longer either. Id keep Sao or Brown over him.

I'd be surprised at immediate wholesale changes. One or two maybe.

If we have cash and he hasn't signed, McMeeken should be on our radar for next year, maybe Sutton. I'd take Whitehead for a year too, until Armstrong/Jebson etc are ready.

Ideal situation for me would be to release Carlos and Hoy, bring in a 7 and backrower, maybe two domestic signings in a centre and another backrower.

Think Sao and Brown are worth keeping until the end of the year.

Listening to the House of League podcast, they made a good point about signing players that will be in positions for a long period of time to build a team around, and not end up in another Reynolds/Evens/Hoy situation...does Hastings fit that bill? Couple of years at Salford, then joined Wigan, signed a 3 year deal at Wests, released early to join Newcastle, is he the sort of player to build a team round or the sort of player you'd sign because he's there and a good player but one who could leave pretty quicky if his head were turned by greener pastures
