Sacking Gentle was the right decision, he was talking the club down the wrong path in terms of recruitment, it took two years to sort out the mess of average players on massive contracts. Keeping Radford a year too long was the mistake.

Watching Broncos this morning under Gentle and he's managed to win them the first wooden spoon in their history.

Totally different Radford was more of a mate to more than a few players, we all saw how cosy it got and how players wernt held to account

Great coach is Watson, thought they would struggle without Hastings and Jones. Really feel for the Salford fans, first Wembley appearance in 50 years and they cant go. Must be a real bittersweet moment for them.

It’s probably more to do with travel and mixing socially outside in London etc, it’s really a shame for Salford fans after all those years waiting. I hope they can find a way round it, as some Union and Cricket games did earlier.

I’d say move the venue also, but of course the Wembley experience is part of what they will miss.

There's no chance of people attending the final. For one thing this dithering government would need to grant approval but even if they did there is under two weeks to get tickets printed, Wembley staff organised, the stadium made covid safe for supporters etc.

It's a great shame for the Salford supporters. Even for the two teams, yes they'll be playing at Wembley but it'll be a rather empty (literally) experience. I'm just glad we won it there in 2016 and 2017. The joy of our first Wembley win would have been spolit by having to watch it from home.
