We've played 4 of 11 return fixtures so far (won them all) against the teams in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th. Good effort.

3 home games left vs widnes kr and leeds. would like to think we will get maximum points from those

4 away, wire, cas, hudds and salford, 2 wins from those will hopefully see us stay top

I put £20 on us to be top of the pile at the end of the year. After studying our main rivals' games, we have a massive chance to achieve the top spot. Sod the hubcap, I want a WCC game and a Grand Final place.

Shame Rovers didn't do us a favour and put Catalans a bit more distant but hey ho.

On the subject of them, what a shambles of a club - they get a young kid to hop on a plane hours after playing one game to play for the first team, yet Cramp-easy is sat at home with a Cornetto and a bottle of Vimto like a poor ickle soldier.

I'm enjoying this season, not because of where we are but because of where others are....namely the usual suspects.
If we beat Saints next up that puts a bit of daylight between 4th and 5th with only Wigan being an almost consistent SL top 4 team.

Are people forgetting that the league season ends after 30 games, not 23? You don't get the LLS until then. Being top after 23 rounds means nothing. No trophy. No WCS. Literally nothing.

The league continues with the bottom four eliminated.

An interesting side note though, the LLS has been won by a different club every year for the last 5 years:
2011 - Warrington
2012 - Wigan
2013 - Huddersfield
2014 - Saints
2015 - Leeds
2016 - Hull/Catalans?...

Maybe the league isn't as predictable as some people think...

means nothing? finishing top after 23 rounds means you have a far better chance finishing top 4 after 30 rounds than you would finishing 6,7 or 8th

i noticed on cas tigers other forum, some of their fans now want points to be reset to zero after 23 rounds! i bet they weren't thinking that last season!

I heard that a bit last year but if you reset the points after the 23 rounds then teams that were far ahead at the top would ease off and surely games would be more boring, less entertaining. Plus, resetting the points means that teams at the top aren't being rewarded for playing well for most of the season.
